  • Sounds a little like eeffing.

  • I just knew that the Inuit people look like East Asian people such as Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, Chinese and Vietnamese. quite interesting they are the native of northern Canada. Thanks for sharing this video, it's awesome to learn new culture. Btw, how about their language?

  • @Aaronmogi The Inuit speak Inuktitut though I believe there are separate dialects. /watch?v=iPGAbctSHuY goes over some beginning words

  • @Aaronmogi Inuits first language is Inuktituk.

  • this is beautiful

  • what is the meaning of inuit throat singing??

  • dont take offense to that, its just a word :) u have no reason to be offended by an ugly bastard like me ;)

  • @Ghryst, pls don't call me fat, you coulda said something else instead of fat! lol but thanks for the comments, a lot of them are good comments. :)

  • Stupéfiant et passionnant, beauté de ces chants très purs...merci!

  • 57 sec is when the good beat come xDD until 1:55

  • I like it a lot

  • Track #2 is unreal.

  • ‎" Inuit throat singers try to show their vocal abilities in a fun competitive manner and the first one to either run out of breath, stop or laugh is declared the loser of the game."

"It was reported that at one point in time, Inuit women would actually have their lips almost touching while using each other's mouth cavity as a sound resonator. This technique is not used anymore."

  • @Ghryst Too bad that technique isn't used anymore. It would make it more sensual than it is.

  • @mondo78 i can think of a much more sensual sound resonater ;P

  • @Ghryst nudge nudge wink wink say no more ;)

  • "Inuit throat singing was actually forbidden by Christian priests for almost 100 years but since this religious ban was lifted, there has been a resurfacing of this traditional activity in the Inuit communities during the last 20 to 30 years"

  • i love the fact, that to these women (who i would eagerly marry, yes even the fat one), this is a game of sorts. first one to run out of breath, mess up, or laugh, loses

  • sounds like they're hyperventilating

  • I'll admit that from a "musical" standpoint I may not get it so much (amazing vocal skills aside) but I've watched several of these videos. There's something about the consistent (I presume traditional) theme; Two women very close, maintaining loving eye contact and gentle physical contact while making music together and so unabashedly happy about it.It's not something I'm used to seeing and it's fascinating. Thanks for the post.

  • @ferrarif40owner Wanna go be ignorant somewhere else please. That's just really disrespectful!

  • very nice rythmes girls :D

  • You don't need much brain to fuck around like that...

  • @ferrarif40owner Let's see you try this! Please stop being so disrespectful.

  • Can you imagine how many Ricola throat lozenges they could sell? While they're hooting back and forth, they could work in Riiiiiiiiiiii...cola!

  • When i grow up i wanna marry me a classy Inuit woman!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pa ra no ia

  • When I grow up, I want to be Inuit.

  • what's the name of the one at 2:48? I don't think I've head that before

  • Does anyone else this style of singing has epic potential for an awesome version of the Tetris theme song?

  • @ElDLo the middle song, yes!

  • theres 7 thumbs down they should have stuck those thumbs up there ass & break em off

  • why do they hold onto each other when doing this?

  • that was awsome

  • This is beautiful, but I agree with all the little silly "bad breath" jokes. I would be terrified of doing that because if I had bad breath it would not go well.

  • @artistenoire This goes back centuries from their traditional culture. Imagine back then when women would do this constantly, a time when toothpaste and brushing your teeth was non existent. I can't even possibly think beyond those terms.

  • i can smell their breath just watching this.

  • @travism420 of course some asshole has to be a german

  • @MrJuice18 haha im not german. although i did visit this year. notice how we speak english in my videos. oh yeah, and by the way, i like the smell of women breath. u could call it a fetish. and i must say, i got off watching this. it was magical.

  • @travism420 idiot

  • @MrJuice18 Go moan on a dick.

  • @travism420 your moms dick

  • To Aryaut, you really should delete these ignorant comments.

It's pathetic how people get off on joking about other cultures.

  • I hope they brushed their teeth this morning.

  • Pure Art. Period, thanks for sharing.

  • Not a good idea if you suffer from halitosis.

  • I hear snoop dawg at 1:00

  • Does anyone in Sheshasuit know how to throat sing? Or anyone in the HVGB area?

  • You guys are amazing! This is something I want to see in real life!

The beats/rhythms are seeming to be so simple yet, when you break it down can be slightly complicated, eh?

I am from Cree ancestry with Inuit mixed in there somewhere so I'd love to see this in real life!

  • <3!

  • haba baba :))

  • Wow, impressively fast! I can't help but smile listening to both of you. Nicely done! :)

  • This is otherworldly and yet so natural that nobody can resist relaxing into mother nature.

Amazing, too, the fact that this kind of singing is found all over the globe. Ancient knowledge, spirituality expressed by human voices, proving once we were all one people.

... what happened to the 'humans'...???

  • @angelabinu nothing happened to "humans" we have always been this terrible and wonderful all at once and that will never change.

  • @angelabinu commerce & television.

  • @sisqua34 Remarquez*

Merci de bien vouloir conserver notre belle langue française.

  • it reminds me of beatboxing somewhat. In that it's more rhythmic than melodic like Tuvik or Korean. Beautiful nonetheless.

  • @ifixphns may I ask what "Tuvik" is??

  • Sorry, I meant TUVAN by the Tuva people of Siberia.

  • how do they do that ??

  • Nice one Anik and Kare. Love it and I would like to hear a dogteam puppy someday. Big brother 5.

  • NICE...and new for me .

    Thanks

  • So interesting how it is only performed by women, communally.

  • Does anybody know what is this called besides throat singing? I am interested in culture background as well as the name of this particular singing through throat.

  • This is really odd I must say. It's cool though...in modern terms I should say it would be like a ...gruntier (lol) type of beatboxing...

  • i feel so overwhelmed with joy upon hearing this. Speechless... totally...

  • thats fantastic. Thanks.

  • I saw this done where the women almost kissed. They exchanged breath for 15 minutes,

  • If you can find a video of this please send it to my account here. That's the traditional way of performing throat singing and I would love to have a video of that for a presentation.

  • A culture that can make this kind of music must be totally cool. That's one of the best sounds on the face of the planet!

  • superb

  • chicken pie, chicken pie, chicken pie.. yeah thats my fav :)

  • FANTASTIC!!! hard to do

  • grantpreo go home face the corner and stay there as that is the only place you can be.........

  • Wow that's a very respectful and human thing to say about other living beings expressing art and culture. Thumbs up to you for being cultured and open-minded.

  • love it

  • tuvan, siberian, buryat, kalmyk and mongolian is so much prettier.

  • i know it's subjective but i actually feel otherwise. they're all 'pretty' but i think i prefer inuit because they create the bass and melody which inevitably limits them. but i also like the ones you listed because they use their voice as one remarkable instrument! but i guess because of what i'm beginning to now create in terms choreography/performance art, inuit is my throat singing of choice. but whatev, to everyone their own. =]

  • intriguing

  • WOW!!! WTG!!! i love it you rock!!!

  • u 2 have powerful throats(or something)..I could never keep that up..Great job!

  • AWESOME!!! I have never seen this before. It brings tears to my eyes and I'm not quite sure why. So much emotion maybe?

Don't stop what you're doing please! I think it's beautiful and there's never enough beauty around these days...

  • You ladies are so good I am left trembling. May your culture live on after mine is long gone.

  • I can't tell which one is making what sound...that is what is so awesome .

  • hahaha gang de 1 nation a mode
