Thank you for your comments. Its impossible to say definitively what the terrorists intended. There is an argument that had the Narita Flight not been early, everyone on board THAT flight would have been killed. I can only hold them accountable for what they DID.
The terrorists are crazy aren't they ? They bombed a flight without knowing that their own kinds of people are onboard!!(The Sikh pilots and passengers!!) Plus all those Hindus and Canadian Caucasians!!
If you advance at 2min in the video, we can clearly hear a sudden explosion and someone yelling. The people in the front of the airplane must have heard the blast but they couldn't do anything........ it was too late.
@gitane1976 Its awful isn't it. We have listened to the actual recording many times, and couldn't say for sure if this is the explosion - but the timeline fits
@AirIndia182 Yeah...... I can't believe that the people who were checking for the luggage let the bomb pass believing that it was a false alarm. So many lives were taken innocently. If I were one of the luggage staff who let pass the bomb, I would be really shocked.
@gitane1976 You know... It has never been established for sure that the bag that contained the bomb was the same bag that had the 'false alarm.' If so, that would be a heavy weight for those security personnel to bear alone. And they shouldn't, because it was a 'perfect storm' of error all along the line that resulted in this tragedy.
It was very touching when i first heard about the crash. I saw the doc on utube.I felt sad. Anychance i can see it on tv on anychannel or dvd> plzz help
Kanishka Disaster is the first news that has really affected me when I was a child. I wept for three days to think of the fate of all the people on board. Still it haunts me. I liked the documentry on National Geographic channel's Mayday:Explosive Evidence.
This documentary is fantastic. I watched it last night at the IFFLA. The audience was so drawn into the documentary that in the Q & A there was not a single technical question. There were questions about the family, about the Canadian government about the various investigators etc etc but nothing about how he made the film. I think that that is amazing.
I knew nothing about what happened to Air India 182 but this documentary was definitely enlightened me thoroughly.
Kanishka air crash is so close to my heart. It was the first story I heard, instead of Cinderella or Snow White at the age of three. I wish those lapses never took place and the accused were convicted. Till date reading about the crash makes me so emotional, as an Indian. Condolences to the families affected.
um r u da producer of air india 182, because i was wonderin if u could do a worldwide premire on t.v on a indian channel or somethin den the story can spread pepal have forgotten
Yes, there is an international order option on the "DVD Sales" page. Just expect it to take a little longer to reach you.
As for the DVD working, it is region free and in NTSC, so you will need a player/TV that can accept an NTSC signal, but we have not restricted any countries from viewing. If your TV does not accept NTSC, almost all computers will.
good on CBC to keep the passions aside and tell the human side of the story , the loss of loved ones brought tears to every ones eyes .may god bless the relatives of the victims and give them strength to cope with their grave losses
We don't have plans right now to post the full movie online... but it will be available for purchase on DVD very soon from our website (airindia182 (dot) com)
Do you know where i can see the full feature of the air india 182 store
