Didn't even mention that the m4/3 standard removes the mirror to be more compact (hence "odd shutter noise").
Its a lens hood, not a sun shade. Its not meant to be used in reverse... you only put it that way for storage, of course the zoom ring would be hard to access that way.
Review also didnt highlight many advantages of the G1 (fast contrast detect focus, manual focus mangification, etc)
Good job with the finger print all over the lens btw *sigh*
there is no vid mode at all but panny are bringing one out in this very same model sometime in 2009, check out aall other vids on youtube for this camera, especially cameralabs
Lumix GH1 will soon be out.. Would love to see a Review Comparison against the Nikon D90. Those 2 would be my choice as the Canon 5d MK 2 is too expensive for me..
go buy a Canon, that's perfect for you.

Good review.. but nothing said about videos capability, how they are it seems the only under 1000 euro slr cam that rec videos.
