I would advise strongly against vacuum sealed dressings. A sterile packaged dressing at ambient pressure - should the packaging be compromised or questionable - may no longer be guaranteed sterile, but should a vacuum packaged dressing be compromised - while it will be immediately evident - it will be guaranteed non-sterile. circumstance may demand you use it anyway on a serious wound.

i think I've pretty much reached that age where surviving what this country has become is not that desirable. We have a whole government that is now "rogue". Military Generals do not follow the oath they took to the Constitution. I'd trust members of a Mafia before I would trust local cops anymore. The Constitution of the US has become nothing more valuable than used toilet paper. It's questionable whether or not the president is even a citizen, or illegal alien, with no interest in ans.

I would like to thank you for the statement @ 2:51 about getting expert advice. To many people try to teach or give out info that isn't correct and pass it off as it being factual. You also state that you are just introducting watchers to the equipment to aquaint them for the need. Good video 5/5. I am a Medical Spc. and try to inform people on factual stuff. Nice kit very simular to my equipment.

I agree Doc...If I am not an expert of at least halfway informed, I will always at least point people in the right direction. Good information is the key. Somebody could make a 30 minutes video, but if the information isn't on spot, it's wasted viewing.

This is meant to be a basic primer.

Great video bro! Like you said, we want to remember to keep it simple (KISS). You can learn a lot from a book or a video, so just keep studying everybody.( "where there is no Dr." and any high detail human anatomy books as well) In my opinion, 1st Aid and land navigation w/out a GPS are very vital assets to your safety.

Army Manuals have tons of good knowledge. Don't overlook your local libraries and book stores. Tons of good technical volumes.

now about your medic kit... your first one is more for the medic or doc in platoon.... the israely is more for one person and better for me. but there is a diferense that we have to meant it... the time that we have to be, to survive out in the bush.... long time first kit for the indivitual... short time the israeli one.... and one more think.. make your own first aid kit... you need haemostatic ? use the pads that woman uses at those days.... you know what I mean,,, hehehe

It's funny that you mention tampons.

When I was in Iraq, we had an Iraqi Soldier with us that was injured in a mortar attack and the medic plugged his wounds with a tampon. It worked....he survived.

Quick Clot is great for severe bleeding. A little expensive, but worth it. Burns like hell when it is applied to the wound though.

nice video my friend.... 10 yrs ago if you told me to carry a gas mask I was laughing with you.... not even when I was in the army I dont carry one.... but now its a must have.... the israeli model is a good choise and with a good price... but all the internet buyers you must ask for exp.date first...and one more about masks.... in most countries you cant buy or sell masks unless they are only for decoration...

Same here. In Iraq, we never carried gas masks, not even on the trucks with us.

The ways things are going right now....These assholes are going to use gas. They know that they aren;t going to be able to deal with pain in the asses like me.

I would also advice taking some good quality wisky or wodka with you, and a cartboard of sigarettes. Very good things to trade with, or to have a sip yourself :)
