Ernie earned the right to produce as well as "shill" in his sponsor's Dutch Masters ads- and he preferred absurd pantomimes, with sound effects and a Haydn String Quartet recording in the background. These ads, which appeared on "TAKE A GOOD LOOK" (1959-'61) and his 1961 specials, were most effective in selling those cigars....
