actually this song was written before the accident happened to his daughter and she was older than 4. He wrote it as this little girl & her sister liked to play prince & princess with their dad & the song took on new meaning after the accident. He also danced to it with his oldest daughter at her wedding.

@RainingRadio I have M.S. and from the mother's view point, its just as hard to watch your child trying to struggle with understanding, and helping when you know they feel helpless. She prolly cries when she sees you doing your most and you feel like it isn't doing anything. Just look at her, gently grab her hand, and tell her "I Love YOU!" She will love you right back. As for your dad, use a journal to talk to him. He might answer.

this song used to make me cry , my dad and my mom devorced when i was 4 i knew him but i always son who came home late or was always drinking. everytime i saw my dad and my mom they were fighting and i would get so mad i would get in on the fight . now that im 12 its been more difficult because not many people in my school , town ,community know whats like not to have a dad , if you dont have a dad it does affect you it makes you feel alone somtimes or just like nobody cares.

This song really gets me.I love my dad. Me and him are really close. I can talk to him about my boy troubles and he will always says never let a boy break your heart because they are all douchebags......you just have to get used to them! When i was about 10 years old my dance studio does daddy daughter dances every year so me and him decided we were going to do it. It was really fun and the song was Cinderella! I still listen to this song whenever I get a chance.

Before I left for College I was close with my parents but now that I am away, my dad and I are closer then ever. I call him at least once a day if not more. If I don't call him, he calls me. Everyman I hear this song, I think of him. I can't wait til I get married so we can dance to it. I may be 24 but I will always be my daddy's little girl. I love this song! I know this is talking about a daddy- daughter relationship... my mom died when i was 8 from a painful disease she had for close to 7 or 8 years and I didn't spend a lot of time with her. So now I know that I can't waste the time I have with my dad. No more arguing, just a time of love and fun. Thank you for this wonderful song!

i wish my dad was in my life. He left when i was like 1. I would always ask my ma who he is and what he is like... I asked my mom early in January if i could meet him. I ended up meeting him in february on my birthday. He doesnt even talk to me now. actually this song was written before the accident happened to his daughter and she was older than 4. He wrote it as this little girl & her sister liked to play prince & princess with their dad & the song took on new meaning after the accident. He also danced to it with his oldest daughter at her wedding.

@YourFaceisYOURteam i hate to be the correct-y person, but this song came out in 2007, and she died in 2008. which to me, makes it that much more heartbreaking....he makes this song about her growing up, and just 7 months later, she dies in a terrible accident...for months afterward he couldn't bring himself to sing this song at concerts. hi, my names justin. im not a girl, but i heard this song and it hit me so hard. i dont have the closest relationship with my dad. he travels a lot. and i think i miss him more than i know. my moms always sick and in pain cause she has M.S. and it gets worse when my dads away. and i always feel so bad for her cause i never know what to do. when my dad says to "be the man of the house" i try my best. but nobody can replace or even come close to the miracles of a real dad.

@RainingRadio I have M.S. and from the mother's view point, its just as hard to watch your child trying to struggle with understanding, and helping when you know they feel helpless. She prolly cries when she sees you doing your most and you feel like it isn't doing anything. Just look at her, gently grab her hand, and tell her "I Love YOU!" She will love you right back. As for your dad, use a journal to talk to him. He might answer.

I miss her but have come to learn that over the years you can spend your time looking back on what could have been, or, you could look to your new dad and welcome the affections I'm sure he offers. those 9 dislikes were accidents. even people with no heart cant find it in themselves to do that. this video was right on... just reminds you how special things are & you cant take advantage of those precious moments.

well my sister just ot married they played this song i cryed it was so sad she just grew up to fast for my family and now shes married and when ever i hear this song i cry becausse now my sister is.........GONE. :(

My daddy moved out back in February, and it's the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. I remember I used to get to mad at him, and sometimes I used to wish we could just get away from each other for a while. But now that we actually are away from each other, I've never, ever, been this hurt. This song always makes me cry, it reminds me how short life is and how badly I wanna spend more time with my daddy<3

I don't have a dad. he has been in jail since i was 4. . . so when i do get married it won't be him dancing with him. i won't have any memories with him. i always cry with this song and butterfly kisses. it just makes me think of how many memories i won't have.
