ericboy, you must be gullible, Tressel is now a known liar and a cheater, and might I say a hypacrite. tressel was hoping this situation would just fade away, but fortunately his corruption has been found. Ohio st. is not alone, Auburn, Oregon and alot of other cheating programs need to pay for their cheating.
Not only does he have no credibility, but OSU has absolutely no credibility. Especially after what BYU just did to one of their players who broke their honor code. This brings up more questions about what Maurice Clarett said about academic fraud and the improper happenings while Tressel was at Youngstown State. So is this the first time he's cheated, or the first time he's gotten caught? Dirty dirty program at OSU
you didn't know who to talk to....it's in your contract you bone head, you go to your AD ....what a cover up master u suck and i hope they take wins away that would be fair...what a liar and joke
@ericboy1 Why would they take away wins? Nothing he did gave OSU an advantage on the field. He didn't have recruiting violations or anything, just trying to stay out of the way of a Federal Investigation and it ended up biting him on the ass.
You would take away wins because he knowingly played 6 ineligible athletes all of last season. That is a major violation. When Tennessee men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl lied to NCAA investigators, he was suspended half of the conference season by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. When Washington football coach Rick Neuheisel lied to NCAA investigators, he was fired by the university.
lets be clear. the second these players sold their memorabilia, they became ineligible players. and he (Tressel) chose to hide it and play them so he could win. so yes, he did give them an advantage on the field.
@mahajanrishi Not to defend Tressell but, in my opinion the Big 10 comissioner was putting pressure on him to play the 5 players to give them an edge on the sec. We all know how that turned out. Then he turns around and suspends himself for 5 games? this is only the tip of the ice berg......O-State is screwed. They are going to get slapped hard. You heard it here first.
what a lying crap coach if this had been a mich coach OSU and other schools would be screaming for the coaches head and screams for a major penalty but this guy? ohh i forgot or did not know. ITS HIS JOB TO know what a joke
@sillymangirlman I'm not hearing "ohh i forgot or did not know" from Tressel. I hear someone who failed to do his job, and through scolding (and the scolding has just begun, btw), has realized his mistakes and is taking ownership of his failure. Humans mess up.
