@doctorbasslayer I do think it is a much more sophisticated and straightforward album. I would still listen to this over 90% of material being cranked out by bands of their genre. I'm just a sucker for the thrashier stuff like bands Down and COC, who I would put into the same family with the Sword...raw, dirty, and groovy metal!

This is the weakest of the three albums. That being said, these guys are cranking out far better metal than any of their contemporaries. Their fusion of throwback-metal and futuristic space odyssey is a great concept. They are certainly trying to evolve their sound.

I studied the lyrics a bit and it appears the story follows a dude banished, who wanders across the charred surface of the planet that is facing the sun. He then encounters the Warp Riders, which are basically time traveling pirates. Then something something Night City, which is basically the concept that the dark side of the planet is a haven for miscreants of all kinds. Then I ran out of YouTube comment spa

@brunub11 night city is just an old unreleased track from 3-4 years ago that they through on the album, so theres no way it really fits into the story. it sounds more like 19th century seattle.
