She has a very limited fan base in the USA. If she performed her, shed probably draw UNDER 1000 seats per show, not really a major contender. Most of her popular stuff was in the late 80s, those fans are now in their late 30s at home changing diapers, no time for club bands ! lol

As much as I love her, I have to disagree with you, as she is virturlly unknown here in the USA to people 15-30 years old. All these kids know here is rap, hip hip, end of story. She may have a few thosand fans here, but I bet she could not even fill a 5000 seat venue. She's not virtually unknown here thanks to her infamous Oscars swan dress, YouTube, many artists covering her songs, and the fact that ppl like Timbaland collaborate with her...her exposure here has waned compared to when she was popular on MTV (back when it was good) and when her videos made huge stir. She's just not in the lame pop-rap mainstream. The #1 Billboard album in US recently is a Barbara Streisand one, so mainstream doesn't always what is the biggest seller here.
