the Sugarcubes put out several great albums, I thought they were great, and oddly enough saw them with Pearl Jam when managers were trying to mix genres live
I'm glad Bjork went solo too...but the Sugarcubes weren't total epic fail due to hits like Hit...their music was good in every way until thay guy opens his mouth, lol.
DUDE, I know she is huge! But in the USA, The Sugarcubes and Bjork only has slight, very marginal sucess. If you DON'T use the USA as the TEMPLATE of the world when u gauge greatness, shes far beyond anything , but if you use the USA, then she is shit here, which only shows how fuking stupid Americans are.
She has a very limited fan base in the USA. If she performed her, shed probably draw UNDER 1000 seats per show, not really a major contender. Most of her popular stuff was in the late 80s, those fans are now in their late 30s at home changing diapers, no time for club bands ! lol
Bjork doesn't play much in the US these days, but she has a huge following here. Bjork has millions of fans in the US. And no, her most popular stuff wasn't from the late 80s - you would be talking about the early to late 90s (Debut Post, Homogenic).

As much as I love her, I have to disagree with you, as she is virturlly unknown here in the USA to people 15-30 years old. All these kids know here is rap, hip hip, end of story. She may have a few thosand fans here, but I bet she could not even fill a 5000 seat venue. This is sad of course, as many other talents from Europe have gone by the wayside as well, even ABBA, who never achieved the success in the USA they has worldwide. Other example are ROXETTE & AH HA
She's not virtually unknown here thanks to her infamous Oscars swan dress, YouTube, many artists covering her songs, and the fact that ppl like Timbaland collaborate with her...her exposure here has waned compared to when she was popular on MTV (back when it was good) and when her videos made huge stir. She's just not in the lame pop-rap mainstream. The #1 Billboard album in US recently is a Barbara Streisand one, so mainstream doesn't always what is the biggest seller here.
I wonder if this song is playing on Bjork's Ipod when she's beating up the photogs. "This wasn't supposed to happen...!!" Kidney punch!! Haha! She doesn't care much for the paparazzi.
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL FACE!in the 00:14¿his the face of Margrét Örnólfsdóttir the 1989-1992 keybordist of "Sugar cubes"?she is not so beauti like that makeup face¿his she or not?

I used to kind of like her music and I thing she gives fairly interesting interviews, but talk about a total prozac freakout to be in a relationship.

I actually enjoy The Sugarcubes more than Bjork as a solo artist. I think they're terribly underrated.

I'm a dedicated Bjork fan and I'm so glad she went solo. The whole rock band thing was not for her. The sugarcubes was epic fail for her.
