oye una pregunta le metiste una blow off al sistema de turbo que viene de fabrica en el motor 1.8 turbo 20 valvulas o le pusiste un turbo mas grande con un intercooler?, ya que el de fabrica turbo tiene cerca de 190 hps y el sonido que trae el jetta parece de una blow

hahaha. Its obviously a 1.8t. You wouldn't waste your time boosting a 2.0 unless ur a Honda fan. You'd just buy the 1.8t. Hes probably got his wastegate cranged to shit and wants to know what kind of hp he gets off of all the extra psi. Thats what I did and I'd love to get it dynoed to find out what kinda extra umph I have now. So to the guy who said it was slow but nice looking, keep in mind odds are 99/100 that this is a stock turbo setup with maybe an aftermarket intercooler. -Regards.

Well, 199 hp is ok i guess, it all depends on the engine.. Im guessing It was a 2.0 that when stock, houses 115 hp.. In order to break the 200 barrier you need all the extra and expensve mods like forged turbo pistons, racing cams, SOFTWARE, intercoolers etc etc... Its a work in progress.

Well theres not enough info on the description to be sure, but it doesnt mean that if it has a turbo it has to be a 1.8T, there exists turbo kits for NA engines too. There are VR6-T for example.. VR6 comes non-turbo by default.. If it were a 1.8T, it wouldn't make much sense to dyno it if you already have an idea of its HP and stock turbos on 1.8T are quite silent. Im thinking its a 2.0 with an aftermarket turbo and maybe a Neuspeed BOV not a diverter valve..

yeah that car is freaking fast now i believe, this video is old, i installed a T3T4 chinacharger ebay crap on mine 1.8T skoda octavia Vrs, but it burned at 15 psi, then i installed a Garrett GT3076R; i believe the new owner of this car installed a garrett in it....anyway we both know the potential of those engines, and what are capable of, with just a big turbo and software....

VW Jettas can run with a BOV with no problem it alldepends on what your setup is i own a MKB4 jetta 02 1.8T i had a universal BOV and turned my Chek engine light the sytem was running lean...now i customised my intercooler and upgraded to a sequencial BOV and it runs with no problem and sound really good...

on the stock turbo system,the computer will malfunction with a blow off valve..

this is obviously not a stock turbo system or tune..

you can run the car fine with out the MAF. it uses the MAP mostly. looking at those numbers id say hes chipped, CAI, and a down pipe.

the computer wont malfunction, the engine will just run rich between shifts, because the engine has a closed loop system. I have heard of a lot of people that put bov on their 1.8Ts and it runs fine, but you really should run a DV.

jetta's need diverter valves but ive heard from some with Bov's that they've had no problems so maybe it depends on your setup

The 1.8t's are not designed to have a BOV. The MAF is expecting that wasted boost to be recirculated. That being said, it does sound nice! ;o)
