Their love IS very beautiful...this movie was so heartbreaking at the end...like Jane had been waiting and writing for decades just to get that approving clap from Tom. Gosh, I'm getting sentimental again...*sigh* Can some guy like that come pick me up?! I'm free!!

Yes, I had to say "their love is"... I wish there could be another ending, it was way too sad... But I guess this was the inspiration for her to write all those beautiful stories, that we all love.

This movie really brings the emotions out... But I don't know if these love stories only happen in movies. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to live on someday :)

It was too sad...yet it was appropriate. I think a happy ending might have shallowed out the story too much. I was truly impressed by not only Hathaway's performance, but MacAvoy's! He did a brilliant job as the anguished lover, espcially in the last scene. And fyi, you're talking to a hopeless romantic over here, so I like to think that romances like this CAN come true...:) HOPE. haha

I thought the same. Anne was great but James really was brilliant in it!

And I guess stories like that really happen, but not everyone gets the chance to live them. That's what makes them so special!

But don't get me wrong I'm also a romantic person and I think it's great to believe that it can come true :)

Thanks for sharing. I saw this movie a year ago and to be honest I didn't like it alot. Maybe I was just so excited about seeing it that it didn't live up to my expectations but the videos on You Tube that depict it are excellent.
