these things are SOOOOO COLORFUL!! i keep thinking whether or not if i have time to get some of these birds as my house pets along with my singing canary!! my canary seems lonely..! >.<
Hi Michigan117 ~~ It is only white breast males who get it. A lot give the reasons you mention but I dont believe it. I bought him like that but despite the best and varied diet and loads of vitamins he was never a very healthy bird. I do think it might be genetics/ medical but not related to those reasons. He just got darker and more navy and I lost him recently. He had a good life and I miss him! J x

He still has it!!! Ive been told he will lose it but I hope not!! So far so good!!

He is almost finished molting.The time can vary quite a bit~~ they can have a severe molt or a short one.
