wow, To be on the top 3 on every competion is incredible. Knowing the being a pitbull means your on the disadvantage in long jumping! The apbt is competing against the heavy weight in those event. The labrador, belgian, etc are the beast of long jumping. And pitbulls was amazing to be on the top.

My Hemphill/Tombstone Red nose APBT is in training for events like these including weight pull, the long jump I am not sure how she will do but I got to let her try it :)

THIS is how pitbulls should be used :) They enjoy it, more then shredding and killing other pitbulls ! They are good muscle-toned dogs, so they are great for all events or games :)

Dude, just watched a bunch of videos of pbt jumping high and crashing into a sandpit! I almost cried for their destroyed legs tehy probably will have in the future! Good to see someone do this with water! Sure not as high, but hwo gives the shit if you can have a dog healthy in 8-10 more years!!

@kuttebulle the sand doesn't damage the dogs' bodies anymore than the water. It's the same idea as Olympians doing long jump and triple jump into sand pits. If anything breaking the surface tension of the water is a more shocking impact than hitting the sand (think belly flop into a pool vs. falling into the loose sand on the beach)

Any and all breeds can compete and the top jumping dogs are generally labs, Chessies, pointers, or Belgian malinois. The APBTs, in general, don't jump as big as them.

Never woulda guessed. I don't know the build of any of those breeds besides labs. I guess they must be built more for speed, 'cause i've never seen another breed that has the vertical jump that apbt does.
