Im curious why you would post that note and then tee off on America. $2600.00 up front and then thousands more hardly seems like a reason to thank Obama...
@mrerschroeder At the time I recorded this, I was desperate and at my wit's end. Trying to come up with $50,000 for surgery was impossible for someone making $8k/year. It was before I found the PCIP insurance plan that ultimately allowed me to get the surgery I needed. The "I am ObamaCare" image was posted AFTER my surgery, in October.
@memoryanddream Hmmmmmm. Okay. So you didn't need the $2600.00 down payment after all? And by the way as fas as preexisting conditions go.... ( i know all about them trust me) Before Obama care you would still get coverage but you would have to wait 30 days for it to go into affect. Seems like you had a pretty long waiting period anyway... Im very glad you go some of the care you needed and I hope you get the rest.. But to thank Obama is lame.
@greenpilgrim50 Surgery was Oct 5th. So I'm still healing. Of course, now the real bills are starting. And I need to still keep awareness out there to help so I can pay them off.
i had that happen to me in 90? I think it was. I sent my children to stay with my parents and had the surgery, then a friend took me in until I was able to return to work. Life has become much easier since those days but it's rough when you're on your own with no one to cushion the fall. Thank God I had my parents for my children & a good friend who let me stay with her during my recovery. I gave up my house during this time to save the rent & got better house later.
I just wanted to let you know that I suffer from the same problem and a friend told me that these uterine fibroid tumors and cysts will dissipate after menopause. Also, these tumors change in size during monthly hormone fluctuation. I suggest you look into ALL medical treatment options, including homeopathic treatment. Be VERY careful about taking the word of a handful of doctors. As for the doctor not signing a form so you may return to work ... that's absolutely ridiculous.
@dorotwhy At 34, waiting 20 more years for menopause isn't exactly possible. My fibroids were so large they were causing me not only pain, but distorting my other organs and causing problems and nerve issues. I actually had surgery one week ago today and while I'm sore, I'm already feeling better.
And it's not that the doctor wouldn't write a note. It's that the HR department won't allow me back until I am "100%" better for liability reasons. It's THEIR absurdity, not my doctors.

I'm so sorry to hear of your health problems. I just now featured this video on my page. I would have done that much earlier but I only just now ran across this video. It's scandalous what the price of medical care is in this country.
