In July 2011, Nintendo of America issued a trademark for The Last Story title.During the Nintendo Direct broadcast on February 22nd, it was announced that the game will be released in North America in 2012. However, it will not be published by Nintendo. Instead, the game will be released by XSEED Games.

To be honest, I was a bit mixed with my feelings about this game; maybe, it was due to thinking if this or Xenoblade was a better Wii game. That is, until the last 6 - 8 hours of the game. However, hearing this with the ending scene really was the cherry on top. I still can't say which game I enjoyed more, but, I guess what I am getting at is that it was really nice to hear this at the end:D

@dilandauomi I'd say so. The dialogues were well done and gave distinct life/characteristics to the characters. Throughout the game, you can notice some elements from the older Final Fantasy games, which is really nice. The progression seems a bit strange, because they drifted away from simply focusing on a love story and concentrated on a whole lot of other things. It was still really good, especially when it neared the end. Hope this helps@_@

Music that makes grown men weep. That's Mr. Uematsu for you in a nutshell. I can tell that The Last Story's music is going to be one of his best works. I fell in love with Lost Odyssey's amazing music so this is certainly a given. Here's hoping for an English localization of this game and its main theme by the same singer.

When I first heard the main theme on the website, I didn't like it, mainly because it simply sounded too forced emotionally, and also because it was just a short repetitive loop that could have been expanded. This is definitely a huge improvement from my first impressions.
