your suppose to let the winch do ALL the work, believe it or not it will prolong the life and prevent backlash.(but that is a problem because r/c don't really have neutral)

If it were possible to mount the winch lower on the front end so that it wouldn't pull down on the front end so much would make a big difference I think.

@vistastang - i THINK ITS BETTER THAT IT PULLS IT DOWN THATS WHAT i WAS TOLD BY A LONG TIME SCALER DOOD ANYWAY, KEEPS IT GROUNDED AND IT WORKS JUST FINE WHATS WRONG WITH THE WAY IT WORKS???? I WAS TURNING THE WINCH ON AND OFF AS i WENT UP BY REMOTE.!!! i WANNA GET THE RC4WD WINCH ITS A LIL STRONGER ALTHOUGH THIS ONE WILL PULL THIS RIG STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR!!
