  • Can anyone find a UK retailer that I can buy this from?

  • @TheSam596 Hannants in Lowestoft has plenty of 'eggplanes' in stock still... :) Both jets and WWII types... :) They do online, telephone and postal orders.. :) If you live close by you can pop into the shop as well, I have done that a few times as I only live about 1 1/2 hours drive away..

  • @BasicModelling Really? I only live about 1 1/2 hours from Lowestoft, I live in south Lincolnshire, You?

  • @TheSam596 North Essex.. :) Well, I strongly recommend a visit to Hannants.. when I say shop, I mean warehouse.. it's quite large! Definetely worth a visit.. but bring plenty money, as I find on the first visit you tend to always buy more than you had planned... :)

  • Looks like that plane ate a little too many pies...

  • @TheSam596 Yup... :)

  • OH MY GOSH THAT IS THE SAME P-47 IN MY LOCAL AIR MUESEUM!!

  • @NKDspitfiremodeller The pilot who flew it lived locally for many years.. but I think he died only recently...

  • Hehe:) Looks like aircraft from cartoon ;)

  • Nice kit and it is well painted it nearly looks like spray paint.

  • @joluqa Thank you... When I'm finished with my current project I hope to build a Hurricane Mk.Ia, as based in Luqa during the war.. Not sure when I will post the video of it though, as my sons cancer has returned and I will spend quite some time away from both my models and from YouTube, being in London... :P

  • Hehe, nice! :-) I can visualise this plane, flown by Super Mario!

  • can you make this huge landscape diorama and then you fill it with like ww2 tanks that battle against each other. it would be cool :) especially if it was allies vs germans :) just a small or huge request. you can make a video reviews on all the stuff you add to the diorama :)

  • Cool, fun little model, perfect project for taking your mind off stuff : )

  • loved this build so much i hunted down the Focke Wulf Fw190a & got it in the post today......with a bit of filler they are great lil kits(im sticking a 12v motor in mine)also got two pegasus ufos to build a "yeah right the nazis went to the moon"diorama.KUTGW bro.peace!!

  • Speaking of Hasegawa, I noticed my local hobby shop had some new Hasegawa battleships kits for sale (1:450 scale iirc), however they were not really new. The packaging looked awesome, but the print on the box stated that they have used an old mold from 1969 and warns/informs that the kit might not be that easy to assemble or something like that.

And apparantly Airfix keep selling a particular MTB boat, that I remember building 25 years ago.

  • Btw, I sometimes lament that a particular plastic kit have some unforgiving flaw one way or another, but I believe I can now relax and simply console myself in the hope that I can simply buy a second kit of the same kind whenever I build a kit that seem particulary suitable for a more elaborate build. I built this uboat recently but realized too late that I had made a few mistakes, so I bought a second kit to work on later.

  • that's a fun one!

  • @MrRandomWritings Well, I'm trying to vary myself and not put all my models in one basket... :)

  • hi i'm geting a1/72 me323 gigant (italeri) any tips

    next month for $100(birthday)

  • thats one of your favourites built, shame there isen't a Draken, I'm looking to get a F4U or P-40

  • @Giselle76502 The P-49 Eggplane is very nice.. I may buy one for myself yet.. :)

  • I could have used your history lesson... What was that plane used for? It looks like a bumble bee in that it should not be able to fly. Does it open up like a Faberge egg?

  • why am I singing little brown jug now...GRIN

  • I love the egg planes! Nice little kits.

  • I have a hasegawa in my stash..... I'll probably get to the build. I think it's a texan.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww how cute ;) jk i hate hawasega egg planes, i bought the f-15 and the decals and cockpit sprue were missing, and the box was sealed

  • ITS SO FUNKY!!!!!

  • I've seen these kits here and there, always wanted one, love the anima style, you might like the Airfix TSR2.MS

  • It looks very fine! =)

  • Ha just had another thought with this video I think this is the first video where you dont have any historic videos or photos to show the aircraft in action... I would think a chicken laying some eggs would have worked. Take care my friend.....

  • Looks great I though about getting some of those kits and hanging them on the Christmas tree.

  • Having watched that again, I had a stupid thought: This is the design that Germany's V1 should have been. That looks just like a bomb with wings :)

  • ahh man! I wanted the history lesson first, that's why I watch! lol. Good video.

  • i prefer history lessons

    im not easily bored

  • Oh, but I`m very fond of the historic context !

    :-)

    Nice model Rob.

  • Lol i remember seeing these kits years ago at my local DO IT ALL store shows how long ago it was,do you know if they were made by hasegawa back then? Great vid as always :-)

  • cute model rob!

  • Man that's one cool little egg plane, very unique & funny to boot. Looks bloated, like it had to much to eat...lol!!! Awesome work bro, looks like a fun little kit. Keep up the great work, peace!!

  • crazy plane XDD

  • Hehehe.... Nice job Rob! Love the Boxted scheme... :o

  • Looks like the average American.

  • Very nice, very nice.. :) :) The title... short and snappy.... the plane very short and snappy. I've just gotta build this kit! Truly brilliant.

  • So cute.. ;D

  • Another great vid and lovely work, I've not seen the P47 egg plane before. I does remind me of the GeeBee racer.

  • did you pick this up from tower hobbies during their hasegawa sale as well? What a coincidence seeing this build when i just got this in the mail last week.

  • I built the Egg P-38 a while ago.I have seen enough Hentai, to know where these will go....

I wish they would make resin cockpits for these.

Any Aftermarket bombs you could add?

    Any photo etch available?

Of course, the operational history was short. When punctured by enemy fire, the escaping gas would make these aircraft zoom all around the sky, like an inflated party balloon...

  • I see the penguin...maybe a linux thing?

  • that is awesome!

  • lol......thats one cool build, been working on two steampunk scratch builds of late with kinder/toy story plastic egg bodies.peace!

  • Must......refrain from....making.....egg-related.....puns!

    Can't.....resist.....temptation.....!

This would look nice in a polished albuminium!

  • A bit on the old side 2004 ?

  • He he he,i like these Rob : ) i might get some,looks fun !

  • Funny model seems to hurt the tuna:)) As always, beautifully built! I am always surprised your painting - it is a real skill.

  • great build, i just bought a revell 1 72 p-47 it looks like a really good kit.

  • That thing looks like an overfed beatle. Who could take it seriously?

  • I liked the box art. Very Anime! I bet it was a fun build.

  • LOL Great build buddy!

  • I saw lots of "egg" models but this look awesome..great job :)
