Here's how it started, Ali Ramirez, a fan in what is today the right field bleacher creatures always rang a cowbell to inspire everyone to cheer, he is considard the founder of the bleacher creatures, but he died right before the Yankees' huge success in the late 90's and early 2000's. During that time alot of fans in right field chanted David Winfield's name. One day when they were cheering for Tino Martinez he responded with a wave which eventually evolved into the roll call.

I read somewhere that many old regulars aren't planning on going to the new stadium because

1) tickets will be too expensive

2) it just won't be the same....

I am not a bleacher creature, so I can't speak for them. I guess time will tell...

I hope that most fans take Jeter's advice and help bring the memories of this Yankee Stadium to the new one next door.
