A hydra has 9 heads. Unless you go by the roman version, in which case it has 5.

@hellknight50 it also depends on how many heads were cut off but from what ive heard all hydras start with 2 and grow more heads when decapitated

No?only if a head is chopped off 2 will grow back so if all 4 heads are chopped off there will still grow 8 back and never 9

@Haxxtt well if you choped off all four than another one that would be 4x2=8 than after that 7+2= 9 so even though its a four headed hydra it can become a 9 headed hydra P.S. i made a 9 headed hydra and posted a video on it
