@janotosinnumeros Because this is more about women who are considered iconic in comedy, and have made a long standing career in films, tv and standup/theatre from it. Being on SNL, then either creating your own show or films because nobody else offers you a job isnt a career. Plus most of these women are considered internationally funny, where as alot of the SNL cast aren't really considered funny outside the US.

I'm from South America, and i think most of them are VERY funny, and a lot of people around here watches SNL,...but then again maybe because we know a lot more about American TV comedy shows than British shows.

I once saw a guy comment about how 'gross' Sarah Silverman's index toe was and how she should get surgery and I thought 'Has this guy seen a male comedian ever?? Bill Hicks contained the great lakes in his sweatglands, Brian Posehn looks more like a bear than a human and George Carlin was so old in his last few HBO specials he swayed to accomodate of his kneeballs.
