its so dangerous to have a cat running free in ur car. Firstly they could get so scared and jump at the driver and secondly, what if u have to hit the breaks suddenly? It will hit u or the front window and get hurt pretty bad. I know that they get uncomfortable in a cage but its so much safer. And a cat should be forced to leave the house for the Vet, everything else is unneccessary, cats dont enjoy going everyway
@LindsayMonroe88 I beg to differ with you. My siamese has a "car seat" that was made for a toy sized dog. He sits in the back middle seat and loves to go anywhere. The local feed store, his "grandparents" house, anywhere. I agree that a cat, or any animal should be confined when in a vehicle, but saying that cats don't like to go places is not necessarily true. He even goes "camping" with us at the horse shows in the RV. He's a siamese but I don't think he got the memo that he's a cat.
@LindsayMonroe88 I have had ten cats and two of them love riding in the car and visiting places like they were dogs. The others see travelling as an arduous unpleasantry.
I would say the majority of cats do like travelling but some quite like it depends on the personality.
@LindsayMonroe88 Meant to say the majority of cats do not like travelling as 80% of my cats have not but twenty percent did. It depends on the personality. One travelled with me since she was a kitten the other was a stray who sits in the back of the car and goes to sleep and purrs. When you open the door of the car she will not run out but remains seated until you take her out.
@MsMrReason I was talking about possible accidents too. Having any pet run free is like having ur kid sitting unbuckled in their seat. Thats what I meant. And ur 80% rule is really agreeing with what I said.
@LindsayMonroe88 Nope I am not wholly agreeing with what you said - I am partly in agreement . However I do wholly agree about the safety aspect for animal and owner. This applies to dogs too.
why would you bring the cat to the pet store anyway? they aren't like dogs that enjoy going to new places. any idiot can see that this cat is horrified.
I agree. I have a Siamese cat, and I know that they're chatty, but the tone of this cat's voice is not a pleased tone.
You do not deserve to have that beautiful Siamese. It's disgusting that you laugh at the cat's misery. It's a shame that Beans has to live with you, when you put her in danger by letting her free in a car. From your driving (not stopping at the stop sign), clearly, there's risk of accidents, and if there was an accident, Beans would probably be dead.
my cat needs to be like this outside the carrier ,but when she's inside the carrier she will get sick just one time in the car in the carrier ,but she sheds to much to keep her out of it ,
This cat is scared! Look at how huge its eyes are and how it's ears are pulled back. My cat won't even get in the car unless I put her in a carrier, then she goes nuts meowing and panting. Please, for Beans' sake, put him in a carrier.
The cat is terrified, not singing. . .how can you say "silly cat" or think this is entertaining? The cat is begging you to protect it from what is terrifying it.
My Siamese cat and my other 'regular' cat do actually freak out when they're in the car in their transportbox. You can tell the difference between them being relaxed or scared by their meowing in a heartbeat. This cat is just a little moody at worst. Siamese cats are very vocal and this cat's meowing sounds very much like my own Siamese when he is just being himself.
I do think the owners are taking a risk transporting the cat like this. He could fly through the window when hitting the brakes.
@SexyKRock81< Calm down! She is not being mean to the cat,nor does it have motion sickness. It was just meowing because it was riding in the car. When I have my cats in the crate in the car they do the same thing, actually they meow more in the crate than when we hold them in our lap for the ride to the vet.
Oh my god, you all are so stupid. Most cats hate car rides, they are sensitive to motion and this behavior is normal. Being confined in a cage would only cause more anxiety as experienced with my own siamese cat. the owner is obviously just trying to make the cat feel more comfortable by holding it. My cat was like this in the car for a while but I stopped confining him in a carrier and now he quietly sits on my shoulder while i drive. He even purrs. There are worse things people do to cats.
@koehlerbear1989 i agree! how else would these dumb assses prefer the cat to be transported? Sedated? Can't they see the owner is already trying to pacify the cat by stroking it and letting it run free in the car?
@koehlerbear1989 Nahh not true in my case, it actually saved my cats life. When I got him from his unsafe owner he had bad swelling in his eye and nasal passage, it took putting him in a car to stimulate him to get him breathing, doing this in repitition actually saved his life, now he loves going on car rides and meows, purrs, hops arounds and cuddles, its awesome for him, and he is a siamese.
@koehlerbear1989 Another thing people don't seem to realize is that Siamese cats are an amazingly vocal breed to begin with.. of course they're going to express themselves in the car, they do it everywhere else...
This isn't funny! The poor cats are simply afraid. One of the cats is near the pedals. Can you imagine what's going to happen, when you suddenly have to operate the break?
@ridetolive1000 Sorry, I'm not a native speaker... But in this case it doesn't matter. The cats in the car are afraid, they're really suffering. Maybe their owner's brain is taking permanently a break?
Thats so irresponsible and stupid, put the cat in pet carry cage at least if you want to take it into car. That would be safe both for you and your cat. Why on Earth would you take a cat to the shop with you and give it so much stress. Thats evil, you are a bad person!
my cat absolutely loves car rides! He used to sing like that but now he just purrs and runs for each window watching the world go by. He especially loves visiting me at school. When he sees my face he paws at the window trying to let me in. I love cat soooo much. Poor guy has liver problems. But we gotta hope for the best when it comes to our beloved cats.
I have siamese, too. They are naturally curious and seldom fearful. Those aren't terribly frightened siamese meows as everyone is suggesting here. They are very different from your average cat and react accordingly. I do agree that a harness and a leash is a good idea when traveling. It's not only safer in the car once you tether the leash to the headrest or something secure, but they are less likely to dart away from you in strange location. Beautiful cat!
Most cats I've known has hated car rides. It plays havoc with their sense of balance I guess. They get very sick and scared. Some even throw up or just have to pee - fast. It's a terrifying experience for such a sensitive animal.
@2079423644 ....Your the dummie. Siamese cats meow ALOT. I knew about 5 Siamese cats, and they meowed alot, for no apparent reason. Do you think the owner would enjoy all this dissing on her? I don't think so. Get a life, Moron.
I owned a pair until they were in their 20's. They are very vocal, but that is not the case here. The cat in this video is upset by the car ride. GET A CLUE -- it is blatantly obvious! Why don't you read the many, many other comments from people who see the same thing...and if it bothers the owner then GOOD! I hope she doesn't upset her cat that way again!
I agree you should probubly have your cat in a cage. We got in a car accident with our cat (out of the cage) and luckily he lived. Now I am very protective about my animals being in the car. I think it should be illegal for cats or other unusal animals in the car must be in a cage.
@GetofFenris187 It's her cat, you can't tell her what to do , and by the way, Its a SIAMESE! They meow alot, and if yours doesn't, It don't matter! If I ws her, I would delete your stupid comment, Don't you know the saying "If you don't say nothing nice, don't say any thing at all!"
I have a Siamese and even when he travels in his carrier, he carries on like that. He sounds like he's in agony the entire trip and then when we finally get where we're going and I let him out, he acts as if nothing's wrong - even though he's been yowling 4 hours straight! Little bugger!
You are a asshole. You cant travel with your siamese like that! Shes scared to death and should be in the back seat with some blankets laying down and relaxing. You are stressing your cat.
My Ragdoll does the exact same thing. He's getting better, though, and every time I go in a the drive-through, he's showered with love from the ladies. I don't know if he's getting better because of practice or the praise from the coffee shop girls, lol.
Our siamese LOVED to go for a ride. All we had to do was open the car door and ask them if they wanted to go for a ride, and they would come running over and jump in!
Two of our siamese in particular loved going for rides. They would stand on the seat with their paws on the door or dash and watch the world go by. After a while, they'd curl up on the seat and snooze.
We had a Siamese when I was growing up that my mum called 'JR' After JR getting shot on Dallas ! Oh well. Anyway, I miss that sound. That's not a cat distressed that's a siamese who happens to be awake. If they want something, anything at all, and they may not even want it much, that is the sound you will hear. I miss old JJ.
(Thats what we ended up calling him in the end) But man did he ever have a voice.
Oh my, my little gal loves to sing in the car, I have to put her in a carrier (I use a soft sided one I can sling over my shoulder) because she would try to drive if I did not.
My Tonk loves to travel in the car. I don't just take her on little trips, but if I am going out of town for a while I usually take her. I let her out of her cage in the car and she immediately checks out the cabin. After a few runs around the cab, she then curls up in a ball on the front seat. Although I realize it might be dangerous, my cat will travel no other way. If I keep her locked up, she throws up, pees and poops in carrier. If I let her out, she is fine.
Are you seriously that stupid? You think the cat is singing? It is upset and frightened. People like you shouldn't own pets - you are too stupid! Hope you don't have children either. Sickening.
your the stupid one taking this so seriously. she was taking the cat to the pet store. obviously its not singing because yes cats dont like cars but its still kinda funny
Mine ran away after a car trip from a hurricane....it couldnt grasp the idea of moving without walking i guess....he was so scared! Never forgave me. :( IM SORRY SKITTLES!!!
My cats do the same thing when we take them to the Vet. we ddropped them off at the Kenell before heading to Chicago.. They were crying and mewoing the whole way there
If you are taking cats on a long road trip you can get some Ketamine from a vet, I wouldn't go on to many road trips or your vet will catch on if you know what I mean.
What a gorgeous cat! I don't think she likes riding in the car. When mine are going to the vet, they cry like that. For her safety, she should be in a carrier.
Hmm, seems I hit a nerve. I think you can see from the majority of the comments that they don't like what they're hearing and seeing either, so don't pick a fight with me.
Puss is not happy. It's also dangerous to travel with an unharnessed/unrestrained animal in a vehicle. If you suddenly hit the brakes or had a collision, the cat could become airborne, and injure the occupants of the car (not too mention what might happen to the cat). Sorry to sound like a "negative Nellie"...but yours and your pet's safety, needs to be considered.
yeah this cat is definitely not scared, siameses just love to talk, especially when something new is happening. She's probably just asking what's going on. I have one and she likes to cry for no reason.
That beautiful kitty isnt being abused. Thanks for sharing this clip,i enjoyed it! =^_^=

Most cats I've known has hated car rides. It plays havoc with their sense of balance I guess. They get very sick and scared. Some even throw up or just have to pee - fast. It's a terrifying experience for such a sensitive animal.

MORONS --- the cat isn't singing, it is petrified. Don't put the poor creature in your car again. Too bad it is owned by dummies.
2079423644 1 year ago 3
@2079423644 ....Your the dummie. Siamese cats meow ALOT. I knew about 5 Siamese cats, and they meowed alot, for no apparent reason. Do you think the owner would enjoy all this dissing on her? I don't think so. Get a life, Moron.
Lovepitbullzomg 1 year ago
@Lovepitbullzomg
2079423644 1 year ago
I agree you should probubly have your cat in a cage. We got in a car accident with our cat (out of the cage) and luckily he lived. Now I am very protective about my animals being in the car. I think it should be illegal for cats or other unusal animals in the car must be in a cage.

why does she torture that cat by taking it for car rides, they hate that shit!
poor kitty!
you can hear the angst in "slow-mo", but i did crack up upon the woman's slow motion laugh!

It isn't a good idea to put your cat in the car and I see that she doesn't like it at all. So leave him at home I would say, but it's your choice;)

I have a Siamese and even when he travels in his carrier, he carries on like that. He sounds like he's in agony the entire trip and then when we finally get where we're going and I let him out, he acts as if nothing's wrong - even though he's been yowling 4 hours straight! Little bugger!
artschoolgrrl 1 year ago
You are a asshole. You cant travel with your siamese like that! Shes scared to death and should be in the back seat with some blankets laying down and relaxing. You are stressing your cat.
Pye1708 1 year ago
My Ragdoll does the exact same thing. He's getting better, though, and every time I go in a the drive-through, he's showered with love from the ladies. I don't know if he's getting better because of practice or the praise from the coffee shop girls, lol.

Our siamese LOVED to go for a ride. All we had to do was open the car door and ask them if they wanted to go for a ride, and they would come running over and jump in!
twfeline 1 year ago

P.S. If you love mad cats, Charlie says HI!

Oh my, my little gal loves to sing in the car, I have to put her in a carrier (I use a soft sided one I can sling over my shoulder) because she would try to drive if I did not.
Raiderhater1013 1 year ago
My Tonk loves to travel in the car. I don't just take her on little trips, but if I am going out of town for a while I usually take her. I let her out of her cage in the car and she immediately checks out the cabin. After a few runs around the cab, she then curls up in a ball on the front seat. Although I realize it might be dangerous, my cat will travel no other way. If I keep her locked up, she throws up, pees and poops in carrier. If I let her out, she is fine.
EyeHateChoo 1 year ago
Vets recommend cat carriers for car travel, and your video explains why.

Your Siamese is not singing. He's a bit nervous about riding in the car.
It's more like "this is WEEEEERRRD".

Are you seriously that stupid? You think the cat is singing? It is upset and frightened. People like you shouldn't own pets - you are too stupid! Hope you don't have children either. Sickening.

Toss that pussy out the window! see if it can land on its feet!
LeadGuardian 2 years ago
Puss is not happy. It's also dangerous to travel with an unharnessed/unrestrained animal in a vehicle. If you suddenly hit the brakes or had a collision, the cat could become airborne, and injure the occupants of the car (not too mention what might happen to the cat). Sorry to sound like a "negative Nellie"...but yours and your pet's safety, needs to be considered.

yeah this cat is definitely not scared, siameses just love to talk, especially when something new is happening. She's probably just asking what's going on. I have one and she likes to cry for no reason.
