  • This woman reminds me of Ann-Margaret....TOTALLY consumed with herself.

  • Tell the truth

  • I never saw the appeal of being addicted to poison. 47 and never did anything worse than pot and only did that because everybody else was. When I realized I didn't have to, it was a huge relief and I turned it off like a faucet. Never wanted it in the first place. I like booze, but I've gone as long as a year without it. Not on purpose, just procrastinating going getting it. It's not that important to me. Shit that's not even natural to go in your body, I don't even understand how anybody could.

  • @FightForUtopia for fun. and a change from the norm.

  • @garymccaffrey That must be why it has no appeal to me, because I'm fun and abnormal already.

  • @Guitanemane, When you are hooked on drugs it is called addiction..Addiction is when you are enslaved to habits..Big difference...@Mjblades, she never said about anything about wanting people to be like her, on the contrary she is conveying an excellent message about addiction and consequences. It's called educating. .People who have suffered drug addiction can educate teens/."If education is the best deterrent then the educator should be someone who has suffered through drug addiction..

  • remember kids cocaine will kill you 1000.00 times faster than sara lee pancakes .

and remember stevie nicks could finance her habit without worrying

  • She is sober. Many people have difficulty interviewing. Good analogy. Drugs are not the only addiction/weakness. Avarice, jealousy, gluttony, lying/slander/gossiping, lust, anger, idolatry(making idols of anything, including Ms. Nicks) are all weaknesses and harm people as well as those around them. How? These weaknesses keep people from growing up into dynamic, adult human beings. Instead of contributing positively to society, weakness diverts people into selfishness or nonparticipants in life.

  • @kathrynpaine9 That is totally true. All of the issues that we encounter in life do in a paramount way ultimately contribute to.......our ultimate end? It also leads to the end of the ones we encounter. They will do good if we do good. So....always try to do good.... I will.

  • Until my last breath I shall always think Stevie Nicks one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known and a voice often imitated but never duplicated

One of the most talented artist I have ever been privileged to hear perform

  • You shouldn't try to medicate your problems away with drugs. That's why the medical profession prescribes... uh... drugs.

  • That's it, right there! It's a whole lot easier to get used to not starting than to try to stop once you start it up again. Stevie says it the way it is.

  • she made it thats a lot of yrs,of drug abuse she over came it! and its true if something you like and makes -u- feel good ,you don't want to stop...unless you are sick and tired of being sick and tired.good job stevie and who-ever overcame any kind of addiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't kid yourself. Nothing "improves" when youre on dope ... it's an illusion. You just "think" it improves. I do know BOTH sides of the coin. Listen to what she say's. She knows what she is talking about.

  • too much breathin kills u

  • She really didn't blink for like an entire minute!

  • @JessyeO1 not in this video

  • Its just sad how much great classic songs were founded by ppl who were on drugs... I don't get why ppl can write amazing songs and be stoned out of their mind, but ppl who don't do drugs usually can't write good songs... Seems like it would be the opposite.

  • @THERiffRandell i can tell you that when i smoke weed my guitar playing improves a lot...not so much technique its more the way you feel the music and get into a groove... im sure a lot of songs were written sober but improved through taking drugs

  • @emc4lsd True... Its just I don't see how it would improve things... I figured it would be the exact opposite.

  • upset about what? She has money and good looks. If she has her health too, she's really doing well. If she doesnt have her health, maybe it's drug related.

  • She is juss upset!!! totally down Maybe not on drugs thinking something else mentaly she is somewhere else!!! Love ya Stevie

  • She looks like a dead bitch!!like most off adicted people do,I feel a lot off emptyness, she 's not happy that's for shure, believe me any kind off adiction is hell,alcohol....games whatever, these days it takes strong mind to make out for yourself to get not adicted to something!

  • crazy fucking wisdom. I Love you stevie..

  • Very well said. When that drug phase of her career was over, I remember her saying how nice it was not to be high (on whatever) for an interview for a change. There was no paranoia, anxiety, etc. to deal with.

  • Kwame...vicodin is an opiod painkiller. Klonopin is a benzo sedative for anxiety/seizures. Two different things. You are right though...both have huge abuse potential.

  • I glad for her...Go ahead Stevie!!

  • Great. When was this interview actually taken?

  • PASAME LA MANTY

  • ESTA MAS DURA QUE POTO DE MUÑECA

  • I love Stevie.

The look on her face when she says "I don't like to stop" is very sad to see.

I identify with her so much...

  • DAMN.....SHES TOTALLY ON ANOTHER PLANET!...WTF IS SHE ON?...AND HOW CAN I GET SOME?

  • best anology ever...also kinda sounds like it could be a riddle. "How many pound cakes does it take to become 500 pounds?" just one, appearantly. With in two days, might I add. Guess I'd better lay off the pound cake :/

  • Not only is Stevie one of the most beautiful women in rock n roll she knows what she's talking about.

  • everything in the interview makes sense, she's talking about how addiction is at every corner that only problem was the analogy she used cause it just sounded plain weird lol

  • vERY BEAUTIFUL GIRL DOMAGE WHOM TIME NR FORGET NOBODY

  • As a person with "issues" involving both drugs and alcohol and now clean and sober, but still taking Klonopin for panic/anxiety and Dalmane for sleep, I can relate to how wrecked she sounds and looks. One must be VERY careful with psychiatric drugs...

  • Fleetwood mac used to be a rock n roll band when Peter green was with them but now they are a pop/rock group

  • You guys are all retarded!!! She's talking about DRUGS!!!smmfh!!!!

  • Stevie Nicks fearing into metamorphosing into a fat person? I don't get it

  • She looks wacked in this interview!

  • lol she doesn't know wat the hell she's talking about

  • This was during her addiction to klonipin its like a vicodine but worse tranquilizing effects

  • Rock 'n Roll? Stevie had done a lot of (producing bagger I mean), but singing Rock 'n roll? Don't let me laugh! Only drugs-users call this shitness rock 'n Roll, do you understand?

  • Just say no kids................................

  • She likes Sarah Lee Pound Cakes.....A LOT!

  • i was almost rapped but i thank god those wrestling meets!

  • this video could serve as an excellent sara lee commercial

  • Holy Shit! She's really fucked up! What kinda dope is she on here?

  • @leonakita I was looking at her eyes and thinking damn she's GONE!!

  • @leonakita That would be benzodiazepines, which are tranquilizers and given mainly for anxiety. Medications like (alprazolam) Xanax, (diazepam) Valium, (lorazepam) Ativan, and in her case, (clonazepam) Klonopin. She's talked about her going from cocaine addiction to clonazepam addiction. Doctors regularly prescribe antianxiety medication to rehabilitating alcoholics and drug addicts. She's claimed that when she was having difficulties adjusting to sobriety her doctor would just up her dosage.

  • Appreciate her honesty about the whole drug thing. It's easier not to start than to stop--excellent advice.

  • @dreamles777

Drugs, sex, and rock and roll compared to a pound cake? Absolutely. It's a great analogy in a country built on excess. Never think you are above it, and learn from it.

  • @dreamles777 easier not to start than to HAVE to stop! cheers!

  • Yes I know she stopped a long time ago taking this drug that she was given for stress or to stay off of the cocaine, so the quack doctor kept her on it for 8 years when she did not need it, but I had no idea he only wanted to be a part of her world, only wanting to hear about her life and maybe living vicariously through her - Also Klonopin was made specifically for panic disorder & seizures, not stress or anything else, and it is highly addictive & this doc knew she had an addictive personality

  • I know for a fact that in this video she has quit the cocaine but is now on Klonopin - which is a tranquilizer

  • @98michellesanders Her then-therapist put her on that. She said that she went from being a beautiful 120 pound girl to a 175 pound slob who was sleeping all of the time. I think that was sometime in the early 90s and she ended up not seeing that asshole therapist anymore because he didn't actually care about how she felt; all he ever wanted to hear were stories about what happened on the road and the rock 'n roll lifestyle.

  • @deflepphartme I think she has a hard time being accountable for her own actions.

  • @98michellesanders She said she stopped using Klonopin a long time ago, too.

  • i'm hungry for pound cake

  • Don't you ever stop

    Long enough to start

Take your car out of that gear

    Don't you ever stop

    Long enough to start

Get your car out of that gear

  • She was not sober at all during this interview.. she was on Klonopin... and people were still taking advantage of her... her psychiatrist... this is not Stevie Nicks... this is the lethargic and tired Stevie Nicks... it is painful to watch... no life in her eyes...

  • She is the greatest!

  • Yay for pound cake!!!

  • HOW THE FUCK DID WOMEN WEAR EARRINGS LIKE THAT BACK THEN WITHOUT THERE EARS FULLING RIGHT THROUGH O.O

  • @arealOpia1991 ...lol most large earrings especially hoops u see a lot, are all hollow.., heavy earrings would pull and you could tell by looking..now having said that, if she was on drugs, she didn't notice she had taken Lindeys' belk buckles and made them earrings lol

  • Stevie's the Dog

  • from 1:07 to the end - that is facinating insight from someone who has fought addiction.

" it's easier not to start than to have to stop"........amazing commentary.

  • legend

  • "The other side of the coin is" what? I couldn't understand it because the volume was too low.

  • @tall32guy Then turn up your volume...

  • @muggvox I did, smartass. Still can't figure it out. If you have such keen hearing, why don't *you* tell me what she said? LOL

  • @tall32guy "the other side of the coin is sometimes it's not so much fun"

  • @jgyll8mt Thank you! LOLZ

  • can't stop looking at this woman.. something about her

  • can you even buy some glasses or did you talk poop

  • Really????

  • amen stevie, THERE IS AN ADDICTION IN EVERYTHING IN A EVERY DAY LIFESTYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @suazogirl10 yes, I agree. What she is talking about is the spirit of addiction which leads to glutton, sin, and this leads to death. Stevie is awesome. Much respect.

  • balance is the key no matter what your talkin about.being able to control it is another story.

  • I was looking for Eagles vids and everything got loaded up with Stevie Nicks....... No pun intended.

  • So what drug is she on? Valium. She must've really been hitting that Sarah Lee pound cake hard at this point in her career. Hey, that shit's addictive!

  • I think it's sad that Stevie Nicks overshadows the more talented female member of Fleetwood Mac, Christine McVie.

  • @vaibanez17 That's like saying it's sad that mick and keith or robert and jimmy overshadowed the others in stones and zep. I personally think christine is a cool character and extremely talented, but without stevie the rest of the members of FM would NEVER of had the success that they did!

  • @vaibanez17 I dont agree Chris was good , nice looking , nice voice , good song writer just like a lot of people , Stevie always had that added something special , its why she is still pretty cool 40 years on .

  • blessed be!

  • I don't think she had pound cake..... maybe kilo cake, snorted...

  • was she on klonopin during this?

  • where can i find the wole interview?

  • Your title is misleading

  • @longsnapper93

Really? she doesn't seem loaded to you? hahaha

  • @longsnapper93 No, the title makes sense. Just a semicolon or something missing.

  • These's wisdom in her words!

  • @guspo1 You do know she was sober for 7 years as of the original recording of this interview. right?

  • Stevie is the Queen!

  • She makes more sense in this frame of mind than most of the people I have to deal with at work each day who aren't affected by "substances."

  • Oh, I thought you were saying "Stevie Nicks is on drugs." And I was going to say, "Duh."

  • @mzmadmike It was cake all along..damn those vowels!

  • love the analogy that I use myself but people say 'oh, that's different'.

btw, I'm a junk food junkie

  • If she was 7 years into sobriety here then this interview must have been filmed in 1993 or 1994

  • she was on drugs during this time. She had just gotten off illegal ones. SHe was heavily sedated after cocaine use way up through the late 90s, so yes. The biggest problem in the USA is they dont consider taking 15 xanax pills a day drug abuse... but a sniff o cocaine a week is horrible

  • What if you do coke while your eating the pound cake? Is that ok?

  • @coldbluerain She still looks that way! LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Stevie nicks should get a noble peace prize! Dude if she spoke out about drug use and the music industry... She would help a lot of people!!

  • Isn't that the truth!

  • lame-ohs, u only wish u had her talent

  • I may be in the minority, but I love this look and era...I am happy she is off drugs...but I still love the 80s and 90s "eras" of Steve Ness the most ..:)

  • I THINK SARAH LEE AND STEVIE SHOULD DO AN ALBUM TOGETHER. IT COULD BE CALLED "YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO. INCLUDED ON THE ALBUM WOULD BE THE POLKA - I DON'T WANT HER. YOU CAN HAVE HER."SHE'S TOO FAT FOR ME".

  • i love stevie, but this makes no sense lol then again it was the 80s

  • smart and talented and a great role model.....u tell the young ones stevie.......all the talent today lies and leads them to slutsville or drunk ave....or morbid place like a manson or gaga.....or cyrus taking sexual lookin pics with her dad how sick......glad u beat the demons in ure life stevie and are back to warn the kids not lead them astray for money...from woman 2 woman u are the most talented songwriter........

  • She's talking about sobriety

  • I ate a whole pound cake once and I'm not 500 lbs. 230 maybe, but not 500.

  • @chuckbyf1 Close enough =P

  • It's easier not to start than to stop. So true and coming from Stevie Nicks what else can one say? She's one of the most gifted songwriter, singer, performer of our generation. We are so fortunate and blessed.

  • Looks like the wife of dog the bounty hunter in this vid. Still stevie, though.

  • @davethefed That's funny as shit. She does. Beth Nicks.

  • stevie you rock

  • She's so beautiful and talented. Love her and Fleetwood Mac.

  • was this about cake or drugs? was she using cake as an analogy?

  • Real fuckin funny how drugs fuck us up,I wonder why I jumped on stage with her in 2008 in Detroit. She rocks

  • Real fuckin funny how drugs fuck us up

  • Very well said, Stevie! In just a few words she can make you realize exactly what she means. If you do these things that are 'oh, so fun' - you eventually will have to stop!

  • She is so much better now,,,:)

  • was she still on tranquilizers in this interview?

  • great woman artists with brains

  • Stevie, thanks for all your magikal music and gallant soul... What an inspiration you are. Love from a brunette making a comeback... xxx

  • that analogy blew my mind

  • omg, seems she's on the klonopin here... makes me sad....

  • I think I'll just get a 500 lb. pound cake & get it over with.

  • Wait... you HAVE to stop? Shit. That's a buzz kill.

  • ...you will turn into a 500lb person.....Stop...or just don't start. Good advice, Stevie (The Queen of Rock, Legend).

  • Comment removed

  • Each one of us has a cross to bear. Don't be 2 quick 2 judge.

  • Very wise words! if you start using drugs, oneday you'll have to stop using them and it's gonna hurt....Alot!

Sara lea chocolate pound cake yum!.

  • i need some poundcake

  • i dont need this shit right now. [10] :D

  • I hate Lindsey Buckingham for how awful he was to Stevie Nicks. She was totally in love with him, and he just screwed her up. Her drug problem isn't his fault, but was he there to help her when she really needed the person she loved?

  • @carolinast94 Exactly! And when she was stuck in a hotel room doing cocaine did he stop her? Hell no! He was downstairs with a hooker!

  • @MrWittlez Was this story about Buckingham hanging out with a hooker in a book or something?

  • @jcrewcat No, Stevie talked about it in an interview. She said that her and Christine would be up stairs in the hotel room doing drugs and drinking while the rest of the band were downstairs with hookers.

I forget where I saw her say that...I believe it was on Oprah.

  • she's a mess

  • I can't go through anymore comments. WHAT are these people talking about??? She's an artist. It's called addictions. There is a part of the brain that sees no consequences in excess because excess makes for passion. IF life is normal what is there to sing about? The mailman was late? NO! You need extreme scenarios. Anyone who has an addiciton to drugs illegal or Rx, alcohol, food, love, sex...anything in excess that gives you grandiosity gives for good music. Read replies for my final thought...

  • @ropeofhope ...cont Which one of you stone throwers have a glass house? Wonderful. And please tell me your latest contribution to the music world where your name and face are a household name. Thanks. So as long as you have NO addictions AT ALL and have million of fans, you may continue being stupid.

  • SO TRUE SO TRUE...............

  • love stevie and mac but man this chick is nutzzz!!!

  • i loved her klonopin phase, she was so cool and collective, a superbad chick feeling cute on klonny

  • God 80's hairstyles were horrendous

  • ...not surprising that "GO Your Own Way" was written for and about her.

  • Space Cadet....with a machine gun vibrato....

the death of what was a superb band in Fleetwood Mac

  • @allergic2pretense lol i dont agree but that was a funny description

  • Stevie Nicks is the best thing that happened in rock-n-roll.......ever.

  • how bout a jumbo bag of pork rinds?

  • zombie muffin head

  • @MyCatChuck She could buy and sell you..Loser

  • @MyCatChuck wow.....and thats why you dont let anybody look at youtube on your sign-in.but i will let my friend know ,that he should from now on leave any negetive comments under his own. "tip"... lay your panties flat.

  • stevie nicks is my drug

  • perfect sample source

  • makes perfect sense to me!!

  • Stevie has always been misunderstood as all great artists are. People call them names because of the drugs they do, they weight they gain and eventually the way they die. But no matter what people say Stevie Nicks will always sell out a show because she is one of the best artists and song writers of all times. Once shes on that stage all the hate and criticizing is drowned out by Stevie and her mezmerizing preformance. That dear people, is something to talk about.

  • @madsexy69r Well said...she is my idol...I have seen her many times, solo and with FM. And that is a great word to describe her stage presence. :)

  • im hungry

  • spoken like a true veteran. great advice, stevie.

  • the hairrrr nooooooooo the hairrrr

  • hmmmm, think ill have a lil drink, grab the bass, turn on 400 watts of peavey power and see if my neighbor is awake hehehe...............rehabs for quitters lol

  • how true those words are,it is easier not to start than have to stop!

  • People stop putting her down! Look, Stevie Nicks is one of the most kind hearted, honest, smart, talented, and amazing people you will ever see. Almost every rock and roll singer of the 70's was high as a kite. I'm not condoning the use of drugs, but at that time not a lot of information was known about drugs such as cocaine, weed, lsd, etc. Stevie is nothing but Caring to everyone she meets, watch the Molly Meldrum Tapes here on youtube and go to the last of about 6 parts. It shows alot.

  • @lovelykenzie This is not a putdown on Stevie-- but i have been there ,done that. She is High as hell during this interview and i am getting some serious tummy flips thinkin of that instant oblivion----- hazy warm fuzzy feel, like there is not a care in the world except how much is left.

  • she uses the word POUND twice in one sentence...I love Stevie Nicks!!!
