Classic Coony! I remember Coony "chasing" the Cullowhhe 5-0! We would always see him around Bob's! Went to MHD this past year, I don't think the new chancellor, et. al., would even let there be another Coony! RIP my old friend.

WCU 88-92. I can't believe it! Sorry to hear ole Cooney is passed but seeing this brought back so many memories. I remember seeing him at a football game with a jam box turned WAY LOUD with some evangelist screaming. It seems liike he was always hanging around the post office. Oh, yea, he loved babies too...LMAO!!!

I was at Western from 1970-1975 but the classic Cooney was in 1973 (I think) when during a snow storm he stood at main intersection of campus in front of the Post Office and directed traffic while only wearing a pair of cowboy boots, and a toy gun and holster.

I was there 70 to 80 (on and off) Remeber Jimmy and Coony. Part of Western for a long time. Had no Idea that Coony had passed on.

WCU 90-95 and Cooney was already a legend. My favorite Cooney moment was watchng a WCU Baseball game and Cooney was at the game wearing a full indian headrest get up doing the FSU Chop .
He walks up to a lady with a new born and says "Can I hold your baby?" Me and my friends went ape shit and to this day when we get together one of us will say in a gruff back woods Cooney voice... Can I hold your Baby.

OMG!!!!! ROTFLMAO! I got this from a friend. I rember the days...SO FUNNY! One time I there was a concert on the UC lawn, greek games I think, and he drove that John Deere right up to the stage and started yelling at the reggae band playing. Classic...LOVE the Truckin' as well! RIP Cooney. Pz!

Went to Western 1970 to 1973 , Cooney was there then. All I can say is Wow !!
