  • I have a 2006 Crown Vic with 16,000 miles, and I love the thing! It's smooth, powerful and elegant. My friends and family think I'm nuts; they all think it's dated and ugly. But I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who loves these things and appreciates them for what they are. They are throwbacks to the heyday of automobiles, both in styling and performance. Enjoy your panther platform, man! Thanks for the great vid!

  • The great thing about these cars is how effortless the steering is. That's my mine gripe with FWD cars... the steering always seems to feel "heavy". People always say these cars are "underpowered". Well look at it this way. A V8 with 240 HP is going to drive a lot smoother than a V6 with 240HP. It's all about torque curve. The purpose of the V8 in these cars is more of a drivability concern than performance.

  • I want a nice old convertible boat of a car with bench seats for my girl to snuggle up against me as I drive.

  • A nice quite hire car to cross in from New York to LA.

  • This car has the Performance Improved engine, it has more than 224 HP. Its at least 240.

  • I am from Russia and i like it is video ^)

  • We have a 2011 Mercury and I love it!

  • Watching your video put me in a trance. So smooth and relaxing. Couldn't think of a better car to take a girl out on a date :) Older Town Cars seem to have incredible value. Would love to pick one up. Nice driving keep it up. There is a lot to be said driving nice and slow and obeying all laws. I think my days of driving like a maniac are over!!! :)

  • Smooth ride. I'm 32. I recently sold my 1994 Dodge Spirit. I had a very smooth comfortable ride by my standards. I was a great reliable, smooth, powerful, efficient ride. (again by my standards I have not owned that many cars in my life). Anyway I sold it recently for a 1997 Acura Integra because I wanted a change something sporty. Now I am starting to regret my decision. The Integra is so loud, uncomfortable, vibrations, buzzing. etc.... Love you car nice and relaxing. 1 of 2

  • Why did you choose to buy the Grand Marquis instead of the Town Car??

  • The only, only complaint I have for these cars is the whiny whistle noise between shifts, really noticable from 1-2 and 3-4. But otherwise, most likely one of the nicest, most comfortable cars Ford made. Nice vid thanks!

  • i have a 98 with over 200k on it and it still goes anywhere with no issues

  • i'm not old and i'm glad with my crown vic 99

  • why do u drive like a fucking nerd

  • I'm 22 and will only ever drive Crown Victoria's, Grand Marquis, Town Cars, Caprices, Delta 88's, Fleetwood's etc. my cars have to be body on frame with a solid axle and look classy as hell!

  • i love my marquis

  • the 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis/ Ford Grand Marquis (Mexico) was assembled in

    Canada:St. Thomas, Ontario

  • The market base was getting smaller as time went on for these cars. Mostly due to all the brainwashing going on about fuel consumption and gas mileage. Ford's doing just fine without this thing in its lineup but I wish they would've kept it. I had a '90 Grand Marquis and it was the most reliable car I've ever had. Working on an '89 now that's been sitting for 3 yrs. I always liked the pre '92 models better than these though.

  • @cockyhemi

I predict that these cars will sell REALLY good in the used market, because they are the last of their kind, and they have a great reputation for long life and comfort. As the new cars get smaller, less powerful, and more impractical, people will yearn for these things. The great thing is that most of them made in the last 20 years will still be on the road many years from now.

You're definitely right about the market issue.

  • @mercedesfan650 I've been looking into Crown Vics, nice looking cars. I absolutely hated Ford before Saturday, now I think I love it. So many problems with our Chevy vehicles, it ain't even funny.

  • @cockyhemi i have a 94' marquis and i love the fuck outa it... im 16

  • ford fucked up bigtime discontinuing this masterpiece

  • @Flint2198 I've got a 2006 Crown Vic...you're absolutely right, these cars are masterpieces

  • what a shame they don't make these anymore. the most reliable machines ever built. now they have V6's that squeze 100 extra horse out of an engine one liter smaller. that's not durability.

  • @creamyfilling102 I have one of these and I had to replace the balljoints (which is expected), AC only works on warm, Intake replaced, O2 sensor failed, catalyst failed. On the other hand it is a 12 year old car.

  • grandpa image= less tickets :) civics can suck it

  • oh men nice road trips vid i like it =)

  • ابك ابك ابك اشهد اني مدري وش تقولون

  • @asd9030161 وش دخلك مع الامريكان طيب هههههههههههه

  • It really is a shame that Ford is killing of the Panther platform at this time; some of the greatest automobiles ever to exist came from it, at least in my opinion; I especially adore the Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis; the dignified/"Old" and elegant look, coupled with the excellent ride and column-mounted gearshift & bench seats make them some of my favorites, and I'm just about ready to get one for my first car! If only Ford was more creative with marketing for them! RIP PANTHER PLATFORM!

  • Excellent video! Good driving, interesting route, good camera positioning, picture quality, stability and sound. Do more please!

  • The panther cars have to be my favorite platform of all time. They represent a time when auto companies weren't concerned about fuel eficiency, and everyone drove huge car with large V8's. If something would happen to my Taurus( I love it too) I plan to get a Marauder or Town Car( maybe a Grand Marquis). It's a shame to see these cars go. BTW I could care less about the old person image and I'm 15! Love our 2008 Grand Maruis too.

  • Terrific video and review! And I totally agree, the panther family is the most supreme vehicle for me. Why do people go with all the over rated vehicles like Toyota and Mitsubishi or Nissan. People have forgotten the best car of all time.

  • my grand marquis

    is strong more more more

  • Thank you

  • Why would you make a freeway cruise with the windows down?

  • midway through i wanted to go get in mine and ride around ( its 1:41am) - I just love the ride. If you havent driven one you just dont know what you are missing! so smooth nice steady power all the way through , nomatter how far you push the pedal there is never a hesitation. They idle like like you are sitting in a nice chair at home. I have 134,000 on mine and I change the oil at 18,000 miles( synthetic) it used less the 1/4 of a quart between oil changes. I get 22 mpg /26mpg- Love it

  • imagine the panther platform cars with a unibody structured, much updated interior,a transmission with 6 gears instead of 4,and an engine with 32 Valves and Variable timing of them....i think the panther's could be killer civilian cars then, not so much fleets though.

  • im from KSA and i have this car >>awesome

  • Ahhhhh I miss mine so much. It was a CVPI, but along the same lines. '

  • No one under the age of 80 should drive one of these.....it's embarrasing.

  • @ffairlane57 lol i love the "Old Person Car" image that these have...i'd gladly drive this over a riced out 4 banger honda, and be proud to be driving such a solid car...and im 16.

  • @form109 right there with ya buddy ;D

  • It's too bad they took out the all digital dash from these cars..the analog dash looks so plain in comparison. Check out the videos by saabkyle04 of his grandpas 2003 Grand Marquis to see how incredible the digital dash looks.

  • Hope to see more videos of this car. Very beautiful! Oh and thanks for the ride, hope to go for another one!

  • I had to take my 2001 Ford Windstar in for a recall and they gave me a 2011 Grand Marquis as a loaner.Love it! reminds me of the '71 Ford LTD i drove in H.S.! Old school land yacht with a kickin' stereo! One thing that is strange is that it has both analog and digital speedometer!Plus it has a really deep trunk!

  • Thanks for the comments guys! I'll be making a tour/test drive video soon to replace this one.

Good news! The Panther cars aren't gone yet, with the Lincoln Town Car holding out for one more year. And the last Mercury produced was a Marquis, thank god. I'm glad it wasn't a Mariner or some other rebadged POS. lol The only new Fords I like now are their trucks and the Flex/MKT, with rear wheel drive cars gone from the lineup.

  • @mercedesfan650 i agree. i'm a ford guy but the only fords i'd buy now are a f150 or f250 and a mustang or one of the last town cars. i like the town car more but just to make a statement i'd rather buy a 2010 grand marquis to show my patronage to rwd body on frame cars and how quiet, fuel efficient, and fast they can be.

  • I want that car so bad :3

The Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town Car are all such great cars.

  • @sonic3243

    i`m so happy that i have one^^

and i must say its very funny to drive this ride

  • @sonic3243 I say the same thing all the time haha

  • To bad there not gunna make any more

  • I just bought a brand new 2009 grand marquis ultimate edition i will pick it up tomorrow btw nice car you got.

  • Woo Hoo! 1,500th viewer.

I like these cars. I inherited a 2002 Crown Vic LX from my grandfather... only 13k miles when I got it. You should get the wood steering wheel for your year GMQ. I've seen then on eBay, really enhances the look of the car's interior.

  • Very nice video. My Father also has a Grand Marquis and it is an absolute wonder to drive.

  • what a Nice Grand Marquis.

  • heyy, :)...thanks for the vid....really like these cars, along with the Ford Crown Vic and Town Car....its a shame they don't sell them in the UK :(.....but with a 4.6 V8...and Gas prices over here, at nearly $7.00 per gallon, it would be soooo expencive to keep on the road.....thanks again :P

  • @iaincro92 would driving on the other side of the road be a problem with American cars like this? what about importing, is it difficult?

  • @sonic3243 With the steering wheel on the left side of the car, it would cause a few prob with overtaking slower traffic on a normal road, but for normal Motorway / Highway driving it should be fine, another prob is the width of our roads, they are much narrower than in the US. (as is our Parking areas). The front headlights would need to be changed or adjusted so the main beam was directed towards the left side of the road, so you don't blind oncoming vehicles.Import is possible but expencive :)
