you inspire me brother!!...but i cant seem to find harps with that real ''soulful'' sound...the guy at the music store said i shoild buy a saxaphone because i play to hard...bit i love the harmonica. ive been playing a couple times a week for about 4 or 5 months but my harps go dead. ive tried to repair them from vids. on y-tube but it made it worse...i was given a couple of hohners that ive had for years in 'c' but only recently started really trying to learn..any advice please!!!
@bilvis48 I hear you. Playing too hard is hard to overcome. gotta remember that these guys are using a mic. That sweet sound comes from blowing just right, not hard. I found that Lee Oskar harps are smooth and last a long time. Got that advice from a pro I met at a blues club. If your harp begins to go flat try running it under warm water for a few seconds and tap dry. Dried saliva can make the reeds stick. Don't get pissed and blow hard and angry. just f's things up more.
just alot of random notes.?

Hi Katodicmind, I am playing a standard Hohner Blues diatonic Harp. Any Diatonic should do the job provided it's of good quality.
Thanks everybody else for your positive commebts.
Cheers
