The one thing I really dislike about the movies is that they tried to imply a love triangle scenario. Anyone who's read the books knows Harry/Hermione was never going to happen. This really wasn't translated well on screen and it was probably a Twilight-effect that was the root of this. D:

@mieroth I get what you're saying, and I feel that way. But I lean more toward the scenario in which they showed the Harry/Hermione deal the way Ron saw it. As Ron was questioning it. Otherwise, it seems like you're correct. Just saying, one Potterhead to another. :)

@mieroth I feel that the Harry/Hermione relationship was more of a very strong friendship. Harry tries to make her feel better after Ron leaves, not tries to get with her. I feel that because of Twilight people assume that that is what is going on when in actuality it is just friends being good friends.

@mieroth I think that's mostly because that's how Ron saw it, he was always worried that she liked Harry better, even though we all know that isn't true, but to Ron, he could never be as good as Harry. It's like what he saw in the horcrux. I didn't ever feel Hermione had feelings for Harry, although that might just be because I read the books, and it's completely from Harry's view, so we see less of Ron's doubts.

@mieroth i haven't read all of the books but i knew for a fact that Hermione didn't have feelings for Harry, not like she does for Ron anyway. the movies didn't really give off a love triangle vibe for me to be honest, i suppose, for me personally, watching them numbers of times would show that Hermione and harry have the most beautiful best friends relationship. they could practically be siblings :)
