I was lucky enough to see Mr. Raschke and his co horts at the History Theatre in St. Paul. It simply was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. Jim, you need to do a sequel to it. Mad Dog Vachon was there telling story after story and people listened to him very attentive and alertly. And dat is all da peeple neet ta know.
The Baron!!!!I grew up with this guy on my t v!!!!!Dick the bruiser, the Crusher,Pepper Gomez!!!1Oh,my god,im a kid again!!!Thank you for posting this!!!!
baro9n von shit ass this guys fuckin retarted who the fuck likes shit like this guys tell your girlfreinds you like an asshole like this and see what they think of you
i took your advice, 3570378. I told my girlfriend about him and actually let her watch him on video. The Baron really turned her on and I was the lucky recipient of her amorous affection. Thanks, 3570378 and, most of all, thanks Baron von Raschke.
He used to substitute for us and damn those were some of my most memorable times in junior high. He also was our wrestling referee from time to time.
Great guy and he's nothing like this in real life it's sorta' scary. Very well spoken but damn had huge cauliflower (spelling?) ears from wresting on the mat too much...
We'd use to raise our hands up like his Iron Claw and damn he'd always get a chuckle out of that.
I saw the show at the History Theatre and it was worth EVERY minute. Brought back very funny memories and VERY well done. If you were into the defunct AWA, you would have gotten the humour. It was done in April of 2007. Mad Dog Vachon even made a guest appearence and I got his autograph as well. And dat is all da peeple neet to know!
Can anyone tell me when this was? What kind of show was he in? He still has it looks and all.I loved him back when wrestling was much better.I remember him in the AWA.I watched them all every Sun.@ noon locally here out of Chicago ch.26 I believe.
It's great to see Jim Raschke hasn't lost his in-ring presence one bit all these years! LOL.
He's just as I remember him in the 70's-80's.
PS: Maurice ("Mad Dog") Vachon hasn't changed with age either, (with the exception of the fact he now walks with an artificial leg because he was hit by a car a few years ago; but he's still his class old self.)
He was one of the best, he went from bad guy to good guy to bad guy and back again, when he would goose step around the ring with the claw out inf front, it was great entertainment to a 12 year old.
"I do not want anyone in the ring when the great and powerful baron is at work" LOL
