yeah that sux um i just restored from factory setting but if uve installed updates im pretty sure u can restore from the last update and itll be good if not just restore ur computer to when u got it but like try saving ur pics to flickr and ur music to like a flash drive so ur stuff wont get lost subscribe plzz

WTF? I had a computer and it worked fine, followed these exact steps (without the UX Theme Patcher) Then i got a new computer, same service pack (2), and I have already downloaded UX Theme Patcher, WinRAR, and 7-zip. I keep trying, extracting files to c:/windows/resources/themes. Then I go and open it and all that pops upp is the damn Windows Classic theme instead of Slan XP... if anyone could help me out that would be GREAT.

u didnt backup your UxTheme.dll file. make a copy of that on ur desktop. then rename it to uxtheme.old. then use the patched uxtheme file and put it in system32. then reboot and it will work.
