the vr6 is closest to the camera. 16v turbo won, vr6 gets it off the line because of the better traction and torque due to the larger heavier engine. stock, vr6 with exhaust and some mild chip work would make about 200, 2.0 16v turbo would make about the same.

well um.. if you listen to the one closest to us pull up.. that one is the 16v. the further one before the pull off... and the one on the left as they are going down the track is the VR. you cant mistake a vr's sound. at the end of the track the vr was ahead of the 16v.. the 16v took the vr off the line tho, but i suspect driver fault.

i own 9 volkswagens. i own only 1 vr and as of tonight i don't own a 16v. although my 16v was not turbo. i'm not positive myself. but i am pretty confident. but chances are you have driven your vr a lot more than i have driven mine. i bought a b3 passat vr6 and driven it maybe 3 times.

I have a MK2 vrt. u can tell the sound from the right car. Its a AWD 16v. U can also tell the vr6 sound leaving the stupid 16 valve. Ive raced 16v turbos and sorry they dont win.
