@saiano1 yeah. okay imma say thiis once to guys like you XD. In every "real-good" music vid, like this one, you see comments about "bieber sucks, the jonasbroos suck, ladey gaga sucks and that this realmusic is waay better. But guess what: youé actually promoting bieber, gaga, and the gaybros by saying their names. I didnt know about them untill I read a youtube comment. Stop mentioning their names, and they'll fade away in time.
@TimBirkenholz That is probably the most distinguished view point I have ever read in a Youtube comment (no matter how difficult it is to believe anyone has never heard of those "icons"). That was the first and last time I'll mention any of them again.
@saiano1 allriight then. Now if everybody did that it would be cool. Im sick and tired of people commenting about them. I wanna see some real comments lol. And nnot those comments that are all the same
@TimBirkenholz You should be in charge of comments. The Comment Police. "Making Youtube a better place one comment at a time...and hating pop icons along the way"...hell yeah.
@TimBirkenholz Pizza with cold coke? That's gotta be the craziest thing I've ever heard...Nah, I'm just kidding. Of course I do; although, I'm a little worried that "pizza with cold coke" is a metaphor for something less desirable.
Love these laid back blue's solos. Ronnie Earl shows us that soul doesn't mean cramming in 100 notes in 4 seconds. It's something that you don't get and can't play unless you can completely let go and just let it flow. Awesome song and video!!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"
yep, and santana is a fan of ronnies.. Actually surprised some people here don't seem to know who ronnie earl is. One of the most soulful cats ever on a strat. he is an absolute master
Further proof that less is indeed more. Brilliant. About the funny faces, I think Carlos Santana said it best: "If you're not making funny faces, you're not feeling it."
From what I recall when I started to learn the guitar I got most of my tips and techniques from PLECTRUMPLANET (dot) INFO , they have a huge archive of videos, if you work your way through them, you will start getting the hang of it in no time.
Great tone, but that's definitely some pretty sucky vibrato at 1.27. Chooks bum face, yeah, reminds me of when I saw Scofield. He not only pulled a pig face, he actually snorted like a pig by accident into the mic! I kid you not! Don't worry about the comment below. Obviously Ev630 has about as much sense of humor as a brick! Jokes people, remember jokes! jeez!
@bluesbren - yep, the 2-fret slide up technically makes it a B6. However, he passes back through the b7 of the chord (A note) so it stays within the sound of a B13.
Classic T-Bone walker move, really. Used by BB, Buddy, SRV, Ronnie and a bunch more.
given that he just makes this piece up and jams along, i have to to say that mr. ronnie earl easily deserves a place among the greats. he is so complete. full of history with a delicate personal footnote.

B9 - 13 fret d string, 14 fret g,b and high e - then slide it on up 2 frets - voila!
I might be wrong of course, but it sounds pretty close!!
bluesbren 3 years ago
