This Band really can ROCK--man what energy, what emotion--excellent musicians.
WOULD YOU PLEASE READ the following: I wrote a song from a phrase that my best friend, who was dying from cancer would say to me--”Mark, even if I don’t feel good, God is good”. He told me that even though he was dying, he was never happier in his life. Only God can do that. His name was Ron Williams. The song is titled--GOD IS GOOD EVEN IF; Just type: mark behrens (for the search)
REZ BAND was fabulous in concert and they were truly a witness for JESUS.. Even us rockers enjoy music but with some class, as the "REZ BAND" does while jammin to JESUS.. Those were some good days when Christian music just started.. Hellalujah Jesus!
REZ is / was the real deal. I spent a week in their community in Chicago 20 years ago. Their songs are honest expressions of faith and life experience. No Christian band compares, especially when it comes to "the blues". Love REZ.

I finally broke down and picked up a cd copy of "Silence Screams". This song "Rain Dance" is probably the best song on the cd, or it is my favorite. Nice song you guys. You are still rocking me in 2010 over twenty years after the creation of all of those songs. Long Live the Resurrecton Band.
To me its a song about going through a dark time in life and asking God why is my life so messed up. But in the mist of the pain, God's blessing is on us to help carry the burdens. And also, check out most of Psalms for more references to worship in times of doubt.
Amazing band..the resurrection band or rez....Great musicians....and they serve the Lord! their rendition of Presence of the Lord is the top of them all....
you know if Christianity was so pure i would of thought they would of come up with their own genre, not cheaply imitating something with poor lyrics. try the book of psalms, that shit is beautiful, this is just lame.
Come up with their own genre? Rock and Roll has its Roots in Gosple (as well as others such as Blues, which also had heavy Christian Origins.)
Even Heavy Metal which evolved out of Gospel thru Rock, and Christians were some of the first people to play Metal. Heck, even early Sabbath can arguably be called Christian Metal especially with songs like After Forever which is a clear confession of their belief in Christ and that God is the only way to be saved. With Hell being the other option.
no, sabbath is clearly NOT christian. youre rihgt about the evolution of the musical genre but saying sabbath is christian is just not true in any way shape or form.
They weren't exactly NOT christian either. Good and evil has equal play in their music, but evil is not really put in a positive light. Their brand of horror schtick was about as threatening as watching a horror movie on the screen.
I agree, Black Sabbath was never a Christian band. But they were searchin' for truth. At one point, two band members were dabbling with the occult. Its true that Sabbath had a few biblical applications, but its far from Christianity.
@Neptuneman07 You should know Black Sabbath is occult more that you ever known and more than that.... is satanic music. Maybe many don't agree but it is. And Ozzy Osborne is satanic, too.
@johnnydeutrom christianity did come up with its own gere, gospel. it was a big influence on the developement of rock and roll through the likes of little richard, elvis presley, and johney cash all of whom were originally gospel singers.
@jreashville Exactly. And all three of those guys were influenced by Sister Rosetta Tharpe, a Pentecostal gospel singer and a pioneer on the electric guitar since the 1940s. Check her electric guitar solos on Youtube.
This was when Christian Rock was honest and pure and no hidden agenda to become rich and famous. They actually glorified God with what they did. I know there is still a few like that today but very few.
How else can you stop the secular forces allied with fake "Christians" and Islamic mobs and Jewish influence in the media? I looked, there is no real Crusaders, just paid soldiers. Ur DOOMED! But I'll never bow to a red flag, ever, even if I have to run to the hills!
@jtichavs - Petra was my first concert ever and accepted Christ pretty because of them - and I have hung out with Whitecross and Bride. (have autographs to prove) That aside , Its nice to know I was not alone that fining Christ through music I wasnt alone
When I became born again all I listened to was early Kaiser/Mansfield. Slow burn was my favorite then. Now my theme is 'If I leave This World Tomorrow Let Me Leave A Little Love Behing'. God bless you brother.
I actually bought Slow Burn about 3-4 months before I got saved just because I liked blues music.... Sure was great to have it already when I finally surrendered!
I am an atheist, but I still LOVE the Resurrection Band's music!!!!Keep rockin' guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is NOT an imitation: Rez was saved from hell and destruction before they became followers of Jesus Christ and the book of psalms is not shit.
xembryo 3 years ago
You may want to actually read what he said.
He said the book of Psalms was beautiful.
Actually understand a comment before you reply to it.
Lsulinrul 3 years ago
I know he meant the book of psalms is beautiful, but then don't call it 'that shit'

@xembryo! How can someone become saved from hell and destruction before becoming a follower of Jesus Christ? Not possible.

you might want to study some history, especially history of music.
