@jdhockey12 it was ron hextall, the flyers third string goalie on EA sports NHL 99...it was the last game he appeared on as an active player, although he is on an NHL 2000 easter egg cheat. If u create a player and name him hextall, hextall's team picture appears as the player's profile pic.
I just got the puck on hisa stick after a save and aimed him towards the goal and let loose. To be able to score as the goalie on this game, he has to be facing the goal perfectly.
@DevilJin60 im playing nhl 08 now and i dont believe u have a dump/shoot button when the goalie is in possession..one of the nice features of old hockey games is the ability to score with the goalie...i would assume the ps3 games u have that ability too but not ps2...the newest game i scored with a goalie on is nhl hitz pro 04
oh yeah? I challenge you to an exhibition game in any one of the EA Sports NHL hockey titles, any time, any day... and tell me, how the fuck else is a goalie supposed to score? Its not like soccer where he can line up and take a penalty shot... my concern is not with finding ways for my tender to score, but it is with winning hockey games by a massive margin.
Instead if NHL 99, have NHL 2k11 or 12

yea...i agree. On nhl 2002,, you have to put shot aim on manual to shoot it on goal from ur side of the rideline. You may have to do the same in '08.
