It is sad but in all likelihood the person they are speaking of, probably went to hell. The souls are important to God, that is why Jesus came to die. What are we doing as "Christians" when the souls of the lost are not considered. We are not here to make a name for ourselves, we are to be extensions of Christ so that the lost can be saved. It has never been and will never be about us. We must deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Jesus. The world hates Jesus and true Christians too.

It's much easier to do our own thing and the way the world is set up, they make doing our own thing more appealing an more enabling then caring the cross. If the money is right, it seems easier to just take the money and jump on the worldly band wagon and get paid, then it is to serve a God you can't see with your physical eyes... But if God is in your heart, money shouldn't matter.

I've always had a problem with "Music Ministry" and Artistry. These are definitely ARTISTS. One who ministers with music, would have a problem agreeing with their stance. Ministers of music work with the anointing. The "Art form" has evolved so much during my lifetime. I grew up on "secular music" called SOUL. But "God never used music to evangelise"?! But he put Psalms and Song of Solomon in the Bible. Psalm 23 is probably the song most played at funerals, including sinner's funerals. Psalms can't be used to evangelise? I've heard from testimonies that Holy music has saved sinners.

Those who sing the Pslams are ALREADY those who accept the Gospels! The Gospels, when used to win sinners to Christ, should stand ALONE, not appeal to the senses that can easily be satisfied by worldly means! You bring people to Christ using worldy means, then you'll have to keep them in Christ by using worldy means.
It is sad but in all likelihood the person they are speaking of, probably went to hell. The souls are important to God, that is why Jesus came to die. What are we doing as "Christians" when the souls of the lost are not considered. We are not here to make a name for ourselves, we are to be extensions of Christ so that the lost can be saved. It has never been and will never be about us. We must deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Jesus. The world hates Jesus and true Christians too.

It's much easier to do our own thing and the way the world is set up, they make doing our own thing more appealing an more enabling then caring the cross. If the money is right, it seems easier to just take the money and jump on the worldly band wagon and get paid, then it is to serve a God you can't see with your physical eyes... But if God is in your heart, money shouldn't matter.

I've always had a problem with "Music Ministry" and Artistry. These are definitely ARTISTS. One who ministers with music, would have a problem agreeing with their stance. Ministers of music work with the anointing. The "Art form" has evolved so much during my lifetime. I grew up on "secular music" called SOUL. This form of music blended with the other popular genre (including gospel) to give us what we have today. Has ART always been a danger to the believer? Thank Yah for his HOLY SPIRIT !!!

It's IMPORTANT for christian artists to minister to the the World not just the church and pple who are already saved...God is using them to lead unbelivers to HIM and whoever thinks thier backsliding really doesn't truly kno who GOD is...He created the world and EVERYTHING in it and is using Mary Mary to be a light in all the dark places!! I am not in total agreement with what is being written here. We must be careful not to judge. It is my understanding that their purpose is to use their music to reach those in the world who are not hearing and heeding to the "traditional" gospel music. When they say they are preaching to the world...couldn't it actually mean that we are not suppose to "only' "preach" to the choir, or those that already know the Lord. . We should be ministering to our lost world.

What is "evangelizing unconventionally"? Does any1 know what an Evangelist is and what an Evangelist does? An Evangelist is a traveling preacher...preachers preach the Gospel. When ppl want to hear music all the time they want to be entertained...when the Gospel is being preached to reach the lost no music should be playing. So instead of telling saying some else needs to be saved-->maybe you should save yourself. God loves us unconditionally, which you may want to learn. And honestly some ppl have actually started their walk in Christ because they were introduced unconventionally. MM has said they were brought up evangelizing unconventionally and if that's how God meant for them to present it, then praise Jesus. Heck I'm not great at Math, but if you present it in a way that I understand, then I'll learn.

Everyone has a different walk that need to be respected. Show some compassion. They are reaching ppl who would probably never step foot in a church because somebody told them they didn't fit a certain criteria. The last time I remember he told me to come as I am flaws and all. All read is judgment on this feed. I am so sick of seeing ppl pick apart other ppl's walk with Christ like they are perfect. No one is exempt from imperfection.

The God I know and love would never tell someone their "not saved" or don't know him because their approach to reach or speak about him is different than your boxed in view. I don't have anything bad to say about them, I don't agree with their interview at all but they're still living so it's not too late for their souls or for anyone else that is able to read all these comments. This is just an eye opener and shows me that I really do need to be more careful and selective when it comes to what I let play on my tv/ipod/laptop whether it's labeled "Gospel" or not because we're living in dark times now & there are a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing.

Yes David sung songs TO TO TO GOD. Those songs were not unto man. It is a BOOTLEG Gospel. These artist are put in the studio constantly to come out with new songs. They even claimsongs that they never even wrote & even the lyrics in alot of the songs is not even found in the bible. They call it inspirational or praise. Mary Mary in the greek translates to carnal flesh. In times past I began to believe "arts" in the church had gotten a little out of hand. Today, I'm sure of it! Naturally peolpe do have certain talents. But only born again belivers have spiritual gifts. We don't need saints to affirm talent that is used for Satan's glory unless it's only for an opprtunity to walk through an open door to preach the gospel to them. Don't judge people like Queen Latifah & LL Cool J - they don't know any better. But Mary Mary ought to be judged, since they claim to know truth but aren't living it. So there you go! But "God never used music to evangelise"?! But he put Psalms and Song of Solomon in the Bible. Psalm 23 is probably the song most played at funerals, including sinner's funerals. Psalms can't be used to evangelise? I've heard from testimonies that Holy music has saved sinners.

The Gospels, when used to win sinners to Christ, should stand ALONE, not appeal to the senses that can easily be satisfied by worldly means!
