  • Where was scene 15 and 16? I was a bit disappointed that they weren't there!

  • Throughout Series 5 and 6, I've gained a huge respect for River Song. It's going to be sad seeing Matt having to know she's going to die at the Library and send her to her death, even though River told him "Not one line, don't you dare!" to David's "Time can be re-written." (As long as The Moff doesn't forget to do the episode with the Singing Towers, otherwise, we the viewers may have to remind him.)

  • "Oh, look at that! I'm very good-"

    CUT!

  • River calls the Doctor the Impossible Man. Could the episode "Impossible Astronaut" indicate that another version of the Doctor was in the space suit? Interesting.

  • @marshsundeen No, its the kid in the space suit, we don't know who it is for sure but its most likely amy pond's daugher, melody pond (aka river song)

  • Comment removed

  • @marshsundeen A. The Doctor wouldn't do that and B. She killed A Good man And we all know who that is (A GOOD MAN goes to war) and the Doctor wouldn't go get revenge on River. That's very unlike the Doctor.

  • Riversong: " Everyone knows that everybody dies. " " But not everyday. " " not today. " Some days nobody dies. " Wickedly good line by Dr. Riversong.

  • Murray Gold's music made the ending of this episode! No question about it!

  • EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!!!!!!

  • i love how theyre dressed in white like angels :)

  • Damn glad Ten likes to wear runners and not clogs or tuxedo shoes or something equally impractical for "One last run!". ^_^

  • I think that alternate reality is going to come back. DR Moon seems very similar to The Silence..."And then, you FORGOT" O_o MOFFATTTT!

  • @JadesVidz Well, the episode IS called the SILENCE in the Library. And of course there's the whole "the only water in the forest is the river" thing- and it's the FOREST of the Dead, and RIVER is there... Connection?

  • Can't they be redownloaded?

  • Am i the only one who doesn't want River to be in that strange dream-like world?? I know i'd hate it. xx

  • with the Doctor, there will never be a shortage of dramatic running.

  • And she can't be Jenny! That would be beyond sick! Jenny is the Dr's daughter. They are biologically related. AS ARE RIVER SONG AND THE DOCTOR! So any romance amongst any of them would be nothing short of incest! And rumor has it Jenny will return but will not be played by Georgia Moffat nor will she be played by Alex Kingston. And Alex isn't in the episode entitled 'The Doctors Wife'. BTW The title is a dead giveaway that it won't be the dr's wife. At least not one who is alive.

  • with his other selves. And I seriously doubt that she kills the dr. The Bishop says that the man she kills was considered a hero to many and yet he had asked River if they can trust the Dr. You wouldn't ask if you could trust a man you considered a hero. Highly unlikely. No, she kills someone else. Maybe someone we haven't met yet. And as for those silly diaries. I think that they compare notes so that the Dr can keep an eye on her. She would be after all, still half-Donna.

  • computer generated world and then as River she winds up living in a computer generated world on her last trip. And the Dr had removed Donna's memories of ALL of their time together to keep her mind from burning up and yet that is exactly how River Song ends up dying. That would bring the storyline arc full-circle. And also why does she keep teasing him? The Dr has NEVER gotten along with his other selves! Check out The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors and The Two Doctors. The Dr's always fights

  • Jack and asks the Dr "Who is that good-looking man?" and in 'The Big Bang' she says she got the Vortex Manipulator from "a good-looking man". And when she looks at Donna Noble she looks like she is looking at a ghost. And in 'Journeys End' The Dalek tells the Dr oneof you is going to die and yet none of them did. UNLESS, he was referring to Donna, who techniaclly had already died a few episodes earlier. Think of the irony. On Donna's first trip to the library she winds up living inside a

  • 6. That he likes to dance at weddings. And remember how the Dr and Donna used to always argue, like an old married couple? They were always accused of being a couple which they would then deny. It was a running gag. The Dr probably removed any memories Donna had of River Song in the library. As River Song, (half-Dr) They would become very close but not too close as they would be incest! GROSS! But like Father-Daughter or Brother and Sister. And how about in 'The Stolen Earth' Donna points to...

  • I got it! River Song is Donna Noble regenerated! She is half-Doctor and Half-Donna! She has most but not ALL of the Dr's memories, otherwise she would know how she was going to die. But since she has most of the Dr's memories that explains how she 1. knew how to fly the Tardis. (The Dr had shown Donna as well) 2. How she knew the Dr's real name 3. How she knew how to write ancient Gallifreyan 4. That the Dr like to "keep score" in museums 5. That he was almost late to his own wedding ......

  • Ten seems to have had a thing for leaving his companions in different dimensions =/

The only one who stayed in the same dimension and kept their memories was Martha. Strange.

  • I wish this had been the one and only appearence of river. In future episodes she's annoying as h*ll. But thank goodness she is NOT the Dr's wife in spite of moffats teasing. She is in fact a member of Omega's (The Time Lord) army. In time of the angels one of the officers asks river "does the Dr know who and what you are?" And the emblems on their uniforms conforms to that of Omegas mask in Arc of Infinity. So a lot of what she tells the dr is just to tease him. It is actually pretty funny.

  • @sallyjosie you are so right I mean from what I know of the Doctor he only ever loved two people Rose and sarah jane smith

  • @TheFirstEvil100 The third Doctor appeared to be in love with Jo Grant as well. If you can, you should watch 'The Green Death'. I might be wrong about the Omega thing though. Or rather the fans I'm quoting are. lol According to yet another poster Moffat has promised no classic villians. He could have simply meant no Daleks or Cybermen. And I personally think that the Valeyard would be a far better match for River song then the Doctor. Those two are much more alike. I hope her story ends soon.

  • great show fantasic acors and perfect scripts but at the end dodent it look a bit like the x factor finalist ariving 1:29 - 1:32

  • so what happended to the Vashdanarada? the doctor does not mention them again after river song dies. Did he just leave them there to eat some more people?

    Im confused.

  • @andysim232 The planet was evacuated (you saw them beaming the people away remember) and the Vashdanarada were left to roam the planet as their forests.

  • I can't help but wonder whether or not the Doctor kept the screwdriver after he saved River

  • @spiderman1991 Given what he was doing at the end, I'm better he burnt it out in the process

  • "You can do it! Stay with me! You can do it! One last run!"

Steven Moffat just shows how absolutely brilliant he is with lines like that, and River's monologue at the end.

    Made. Of. WIN!

  • That's Vale Decem!!! Starting at 0:46!!! It so is!!!!! It's the same music!! They used it in Vale Decem!! Oh that almost made me cry!!

  • "Oh for heaven's sake! He just can't do it, can he? That man, that impossible man. He just can't give in!"

  • i think I'd rather just die, than live forever as a computer. nothing's real and nothing means anything at all. what's the point. dieing isn't that bad is it. although nobody wants to. well some people do....

the only bad thing about it is... we're scared to die. and it's painful most of the time.

  • @Rowan07001484 Heaven and Jesus are there for you to accept! Baptize into the Eastern Orthodox Church the church closest to the truth of the 7 ecumenical councils of Nicea

  • I think the little girl who played CAL has an impressive acting future ahead of her. She's as good as the adults in this, very believeable.

  • An afterlife!

  • Great Scene!

  • Just cried watching this scene lol

  • brilliant

  • Theres just something very "epic" with this ending... and when you think about it, what could be truly more epic than for a man to find a way to defeat and conquer death itself?

  • @UFPAlexraptor you want to defeat death and live forever but you don't want to accept Jesus, the Only One who can really do this for you. Why?

  • Bravo! classic scene. the Golden Age of Dr Who that was

  • @Thx1138d "that was?" I think it's just beginnning.

  • @Thx1138d "that was?" I think it's just beginning. This story was written by Moffat, ya know. ;)

  • @UFPAlexraptor

    Well, he is a badass.

  • Brilliant passage of the Doctor's Theme!

  • Oh I know! It's on the series four soundtrack and I get shivers when I listen to it!
