yes, It looks nice but this is not the original recipe for empanadas , colombian empanadas don't contain rice!! and black pepper or any spices, that is why we make AJI. BUT IS NICE TO SEE A NICE LADY LIKE YOU DOING A NICE TYPICAL COLOMBIAN FOOD.
Colombian empanadas dont contain rice!! well not the original one atleast... i think she is just doing her own version of empanadas... oh and us colombians have empanadas with AJI which is basically pico de gallo but WAY MORE CHOPPED!!!
The girl is cute!! but when it comes to empanadas the Chileans empanadas are much more superior.....The girl can cook in my bedroom any time, sorry I mean my kitchen..hahahaha
The girl is nice. she has all the good intention but those empanadas don't have much of latin empanadas.
Way too much spices and the fill it's no the best. Try the chilean, peruvian, argentinans empanadas. They are the best and the most delicious and more simple
today i made empanadas for the first time, but i'd like soft shell, soft doe, not a crunchy..i bought the frozen kind at the supermarket...how of what do i use for the soft shell?
hey Ive tried your recipe before and it came out okay, but I was just wanna know what oil do you use to cook the ground beef and the empanadas? And also what type of rice did you use?
why do those discs seem so orange? My friend is puerto rican, she makes delicious empanadas but the discs are a bit lighter, not orange like those. Does that matter at all?
No not really. it can be one of two things. One they didn't fry them as long, two it was homemade dough. Of course the homemade dough will make a difference in taste but not by much. Hope this helps.
i always want it to know how does a puertorica colombian mix look like and is beautiful i love pico de gallo empanada in puerto rico we say (pastelillo)
waw you puertorican colombian thats like doble taino indian is like going back to your roots please make some pasteles que rico ummmmmmmmmmmm love itttttt

Your Spanish is the worst Spanish I have ever heard. Take off your clothes instead of cooking. Apparently, that's what you really want people to notice about you anyway.
If you're making a cooking video then why are you wearing some skimpy black outfit that you probably go out clubbing with???? LOL I'm 50/50 Mexican/American. I was married to a Puerto Rican and all she did was add that Sazon to everything. And, yes, it did make everything taste so great...UNTIL I read the ingredients: MONO SODIUM GLUTAMATE (MSG) Same stuff that people are trying to avoid in Chinese food. Using that is like cheating anyway.
obviously there are diferent ways to make empanadas...i'm italian so i don't know how to make them..but i was in argentina for a month many years ago...now that was empanadas, i age 12 of them at one sitting. awsome....spicy ground beef ravioli lol...i love it
I just posted a link in this video's description to the PDF file that has the recipe for the empanadas and the shells (it's the last recipe in the PDF).

Sure! You can leave out the meat altogether. You may need more seasoning in the mix, or you could try using something like the boca-crumbles. I would love it if there were the names & amounts of the ingredients at the bottom of the screen as oyu go through the recipe. What are the names of the two more "ethnic" : ) ingredients? Sofrito or something? & Sosagoya? help! LOL great video by the way.
That's something we got away from to help speed up post production, but it's something we'll consider doing again. In the meantime, if you go to our website (they won't let me enter it here), we have downloadable PDFs of out recipes. All you need is Adobe Reader. Yes, salsa is crazy easy to make! Just be careful not to over-do the lime (unless you like lots of lime). :)
We use the burner because it's easier to shoot on the counter than squeeze by the stove! Works great and cost less than $20!

I never thought about putting rice in my empanadas. Thanks for the tip!
Can you do rellenos de papas next? I can never get mine to come out quite right :)

We've got a bunch of pizza snack recipes coming up, and some special chocolate coverage, but that's a great idea!

The website is in our profile, and you should look for the Show Notes section of the website.
