ok so i want to put a flomaster series 40 on my 09 v6 mustang. my parents are worried about gas mileage, does it effect the gas mileage at all? and its not too obnoxiously loud right?

i love my super 40's. i have an X and no cats, and it sounds wicked. but its a bit loud to the point were i feel like a rice ball when ppl look cause of it. i mean dont get me wrong, i LOVE the sound, but i wish i went with something a little more tame. like yours.

I just found out my mustang had weld in 40s and now I am replacing them with borlas. my car sounds exactly like urs with 40s. I wanted them to sound louder so I hope borlas do the trick.

actually no, borlas will make it sound deeper, but not louder

true very true. the borlas do sound deeper but they also sound a bit louder as well. I like the way they look and sound, it needs a bit more to it but I an h pipe and an intake will do the trick.

good for u, u want a cookie? if I wanted to roast the tires, I would, I was giving a video for exhaust sound, not how much rubber I could get in 2nd gear. and for bein stock, with the throw out bearig going bad, and brand new tires I'm not complahing. I've got another mustang for that. I be you money that when your "v6" spins, it's one tire.

you can change the rear end of the v6 for like 200 bucks... and ive seen v6 mustangs with it. and they still spin in second.

Mac ceramic LT's, stainless pro-chamber, Flow-master 40's, steeda UD pulleys, 3.73 FR gear, etc... with 100 shot giggle juice and HP tune = 373 rwhp 453 ft lbs torque.

No nitrous = 281 rwhp and 327 ft lbs torque.

Don't get me started on front end race clip, coil-overs, weight reductions...

these aren't the loudest at all. if you want loud, get either these with an aftermarket x-pipe, or super 44's with x-pipe and cat delete. these are just for a little louder better tone than stock, but still they sound good.

flowmasters sound the best to me, out of all the mufflers i've heard on the 2v 4.6 engines. they dont have to have an offroad midpipe to sound mean. yet they arent obnoxious and dont sound like gurgling sh-t like so many aftermarket mufflers. that was my old setup. i dont have them any more but those are still my favorite hands down.
