@upthejunction269 Probably because in the original recording, the electric guitar (which i believe was by Jimmy Paige) played such a major part.

This is the remixed audio - the lead guitar part in the original tv broadcast has May a lot more prominent in the mix, and sounded a whole heap better. May looks a bit silly with this mix as you can barely hear him. In the original mix he sounded bloody amazin'!

Some people don't get it. When I was growing up in the early 70's, I didn't get what the fuss was about - this guy with the scratchy voice. Later on, with a bit of musical maturity on my part and it became one of the most beautiful voices I had ever heard.
