Dude, great car and great work, but... drop SPYDER from the name 'cause I see no "spyder" here ! "Spyder" is some sort of a cabriolet ! Porsche did a similar version to yours (closed body) and they named it "918 RSR"... so no Spyder !

The new car is the 918, and it is a hybrid. It is coming out both in road versions and a race version, and from what I can gather, it is expected to compete for an overall victory at Le Mans. I hope this re-ushers in the semi-prototype GT-1 cars that we saw in the late 90s. Would've been fun to see what a sport tuned Carrera GT, Ferrari FXX, Pagani Zonda R, etc. could've done against those LMP's.

I don't know where you're getting your info from but its all wrong. If anything for a new GT car it will be the already out GT3 RS hybrid. At Porsche we are really trying to push that for greener racing. Also, in 2013, the GT car will be the 998 body racing. We made it wider and longer. You can start looking for the 998 around mid 2012. Could go on, but won't.

@TheKingofFightNight Not exactly. Don't plan on seeing a Porsche in any GT game anytime soon. GT doesn't have the license for Porsche, but there still is a very difficult way to to obtain the license. At least there's RUF.

@TheKingofFightNight The car you saw with the logo was apart of the Nurburgring 24h race. It's mandatory for all cars to have a GT banner on the windshield, whether the car is in the game or not.

Maybe in the next GT game.

thats better, because LH stands for Langheck, which means Long versions.

If the bodywork behind the rearwheels would be over 1 meter long, it could be called LH. So RSR or GTR fits better.

@speeeedway No offense, but I don't get what you're trying to say. I see the words but they are all misplaced. The Carrera GT shares NO components with the Carrera GT. The Carrera GT is the successor to the '98 911 GT1. About every 10 years or so, Porsche builds a super-sportscar. The modern ones, the 911 GT1 and Carrera GT, share no components (as stated before). The car in this video would be based on the 918 Spyder if it reaches production. And I fit all of this in with 1 character remaining.

Long time ago Porsche has quit to enter events with factory cars... so in near future don't hope to see a "Porsche AG" paintjob on a new Porsche race vehicle. :)

"Flying lizard" paintjob looks good but it's most likely to see that paintjob on new RSR's or the R-hybrid. :)

If this car see's a white world... boy ogh boy it will be one of the most beautiful race cars ever..!! And one more thing... it's most likely for mee to see this car in a "LMP" class, not "GT1". :)

@PorscheBulgaria In the LMP class? LMP doesn't require homiligation. GT1 does. I have a friend who already has a deposit on a 918 Spyder. Porsche will soon announce they will build it. They say that they want to build around 750-1000 cars with a price higher than the Carrera GT. This car would be very uncompetitive in a LMP class race. GT1 is the way to go. All of these liveries were just for fun... And Porsche runs factory teams in the Carrera Cup...
