I believe that David owns two gold tops. A 55 with a wraptail piece that he used to record most of the song in the "The Wall" album, and this one, a 56 with bigsby.

Even though most people associate him with strats, probably the most recognizable Guilmour sound actually comes from a Les Paul with P90's.

@WigsxD P90's are like that. To my taste the best pickups there are.

If you want, check out my 11 year old son playing his gold top in my channel, (wich is his actually), or look for "Pink Floyd style jam" by Nico and you will notice haw amazing these pickups are with no pedals and through a small amp.
