  • I watched this program on Australian TV in 1976 I think. The only line I recall, after 34 years ran something like;

    "They're hung already. It was the sound of the bells that killed Deacon..."

  • Thanks for sharing this! I wonder if you would happen to have footage of credits to "The Nine Tailors", another LPW series. For the one particular episode I'm of which I'm thinking there's an exterior shot of the church with the bells pealing in the distance with the credits superimposed. I would love to see that if you have it!

  • Thanks for sharing this. I agree--Ian Carmichael was ideal as Lord Peter Wimsey, with his blend of flippancy and intelligence. 'Clouds of Witness' was my favorite of the mysteries.
