  • i love youtube! T.V. is evil

  • I wish you folks lived near me so we could join forces. saw show last nite lots of glass jars no restraints to keep them on shelves. you should keep that in mind. earthquake or close bomb things tend to shake off shelves/ glass breaks hell of a bummmer. make sure shelves are secure and glass cant get off em. JJJJJJJJJJJ

  • @conversebabe4evr That is a great point, I will have to work on it.

  • short sections like what you have there. Those are generally throw away items unless the company wants to save them for future repair material. Contact any field tile installation company or tile supplier and you can get them for free. Connection pieces are never free.

  • that is underground field drainage tile. The tile in the video is a dual walled version. The most common is single walled. They are intended to accept ground water and allow it to run off. The barbed pressed on connections are definitely not water or air tight. They do make field tile tape that is basically triple wide electrical tape with glue that will stay stuck underwater and when frozen. When field tile is installed it comes in thousand foot rolls. They roll it up on short sections

  • just out of curiosity, once you seal it, how do you plan to open it, short of cutting it open with a saw? (not being a hater, I actually want to know) I ask because if your getting at the cache, it's probably urgently needed, and this looks like it will take forever to dig out and cut open.

  • @Tradekraft Propane torch attached to a bottle was my 1st option. the second would be to use a box cutter on the silicone. It would be a pain in the butt to cut through the plastic weld, but the silicone should pry away or just cut right out.

  • @ImRamro Thanks

  • they sell a plastic welder pretty cheap at horbour freight

  • also if you See a highway construction project in your area just go ask some one if you can get some scrap HDPE 8-12" and im sure they ill have some around you can have

  • @zenmasterofslack Good ideal!

  • @ImRamro yeah it happens that i do heavy construction working on a multi bridge project right now. HDPE plastic is mighty tuff and food safe as long as the food is stored in its own container with in the pipe

  • you can buy these HDPE type fittings at ferguson dot com/ they are nation wide construction and but some fitting grease for a better seal

  • Great idea. Thanks.

  • Has to be further than 6" or it'll crush under a wheeled vehicle, I crushed a steel corrugated drain with my empty dump truck, I had to go back, jack, and brace it to hold until the road bed was finished, I worked in excavation, so I've installed drains.

  • If you haven't already, look for a plastics store for ABS plastic sheet 1/4 inch thick and go to Home Depot for ABS cement.

  • @borderraven Good ideal, I am going to ask the guy who had these made for some cement. If he does not have any, then I will hit Home Depot.

  • you could use plastic film to seal it up.. use aluminum foil and a cloth iron to melt the plastic as a seal.

  • I question the statement that the hammer on top is air or water tight, it may be fairly tight fitting, but I'm betting it would leak air like a screen door. I stand to be corrected.

  • @Fentanyl3 Sorry the hammer on top is "not" air tight. It can only keep out debris, water will pass through the seal.

  • Silicone?

  • @cdltpx Flexible, waterproof, and surprisingly durable. Thanks.

  • Seems like you might not want it deeper than your arm, in case you drop something in. Great idea though!

  • @bnsd70mac1 I set them in the ground on their side and place everything in a long pillow case. If I want all the contents I can just pop the top and pull the pillow case out. This long tube is meant for long items and the food storage ones are roughly 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide, like a short keg. Thank you for watching....P.S.

I did drop items inside the long ones and had to change things up. lol

  • @SurplusSoldiers No problem, thanks for watching.

  • I have some in of those different material but same purpose. You can hide a lot of things in those. Maybe i will do a video on how I make mine and what can fit in them. Thanks for sharing bro, excellent video!!!!!

  • @EastCoastPrepper Hey, I can fit my wife in there? She is a treasure........get it. lol

  • @Imramro Good idea bro! Thanks for sharing it, peace!

  • great video and idea but i think i would have to still add some rtv to the caps to make total sure not waters getting in

  • @bigjohn20081983 Yes, I want to put one in the ground to test it and I was thinking of P.V.C glue. The RTV would be a lot easier to remove. Thanks for the tip.

  • @ImRamro those would be great for food storage but for a single weapon lets just say like my 12 ga or sks i think id use the thick water main line pvc pipe w/ a glued on solid cap on one end rtv sealed as a fail safe and a rtv sealed screw on cap on the other that way its got to solid sealed caps and hey w/ a bit of rigging it could be made into a make shift tube pack or used for water storage as well

  • @ImRamro check this video out its almost spot on to what i was thinking only w/ a diffrent screw on lid and glued then sealed w/ rtv on the outside of the pipe youtube.com/watch?v=GUogyKl4IYE&feature=youtu.be

  • @bigjohn20081983 Thanks, I saw the video and it is a nice design. The only advantage to mine would be the price.

    Thanks Big John

  • Interesting...

  • @drduncan74 lol, Dr.D I am so appreciative to have some one watching. I remember when I would get a comment like "first", then look and see I posted it like 8 years ago. lol

How did the C challenge turn out??

  • ammo and gun cache are great ideas just buy a high score brand gun bag to avoid rust it ensure s if something happened in a wrol or martial law scenario to hide and have your gun

  • @lpdavisakgto I am going to order some from Cheaper Than Dirt, thank you.

  • a.m

  • Cool idea for anyone running out of room!

  • I might have missed it, but why would you want to seal up your M4? Great idea for food storage, but guns?

  • @gunnwild1 "Extra" guns.

  • @gunnwild1 I don't want to sound insensitive but, Imagine what the Jews could have done with one M4. I love the movie "Defiance" on Netflix. I believe we should be prepared for anything. In the "COUNTRY" of California all gun owners are considered terrorists. I transferred a pistol last week and they would not accept my Rangemaster certificate, old handgun safety card, armorers cert, p.c 832 cert, Core/post academy cert. I had to show my badge and I.D. prove my peace officer status. wow!
