I know this isn't funny because she's cheating on him and all that but the whole ''I am not wearing my socks'' thing just sounds so absurd. I laugh out loud everytime I see this scene.
@SerpentServant Actually when Luke said nothing to her demanding to elope Lorelai decided they were over. Even later saying "It was over last night, and it's over now." Still probably hurt Luke a ton, but they were broken up. NOW or NEVER is a pretty clear statement. Chris was a rebound, not an affair.
