RAM: for multi tasking to hold volatile data, so u can run programs a lot more efficient. it is not exactly speed up ur machine but efficient-ing. let say u ave many toys, the toys ave their own original boxes. WITH another box(RAM) u can place ur toys temporary, aftr u done u can put the TOYS back to their original box(shut down)

CPU: make ur process more faster depending many clock/second.(hertz),ex,ur speed to take ur toys in sec.

A simpler and cheaper way to raise performance is Vista’s Ready Boost feature, which uses the flash memory of a USB stick as additional RAM. Simply plug the USB flash drive in and select My Computer, right-click on the USB drive, select the Ready Boost tab, choose ‘Use this device’ and select as much space as you can. 2gb is optimal for 1gb of RAM. already did this and worked just fine, and as you can see there is no saving anything that you may regret later

It doesn't magically give you more ram. It un-allocates reserved memory other programs planned to use. This will in fact slow down your computer as the programs will use more pagefile memory (Hard-disk, Really slow) / have to re-cache.

On paper, it looks great, but the video creator has no idea what he is doing.

@Sly00101 some games require a minimum amount of ram to play. This just cleans the saved ram so nothing is taken away or added to the amount you have. If you want more you have to buy some and its super easy to upgrade. There are a few vids around youtube that will explain how to upgrade if you need help.

@pantelos96 RAM stands for random access memory , it stores temporary files such as a current running application and is mostly cleared every time you reset your computer... so no it does not delete any files or such, just think of this as performing maintnace on the RAM
