Ok. Goldie Hawn was in a movie called Private Benjamin, a really popular movie from the 80s. Liam got her movie mixed up with Saving Private Ryan, another movie with a military theme. Liam was trying to impress Goldie and wanted to complement her but ended up screwing it up by saying the wrong movie. Does that help?

No, he wasn't in an oasis video. They had just showed the music video for The Importance Of Being Idle and Russell was compairing how he[Russell] was dressed to how Rhys Ifans was dressed in the video.
