Ah, Frank Gorshin, another victim of the evil cancer sticks known as Cigarettes. They cause more death and cost society and tax payers more than drugs, alcohol and homicide. They reek and should be made illegal. Smokers deserve what they get. A slow, painful miserable death. Their families? Too bad. you didn't discourage them, Bar's and rock concerts are better with the smoking ban.
QUESTION FOR ALL: These early episodes are MUCH darker and much less campy. Do YOU (anyone reading this) think the show would have lasted longer or not caught on as well if they did NOT add the camp (up until season-3 when things just got horrible and cheap)?
@msk7046 What really hurt in the second season was that it became too predictable, with most cliffhangers have B&R in some crazy trap. Part of the fun of Season 1 is that the cliffhangers were not all the same, and didn't always involve Batman and Robin.
in this, and other early episodes, they almost seemed to be foreshadowing something bad was goin gto happen with the atomic pile. wouldnt it have been weird if a superpowered Jill St. John came up out of it, and started wreaking havok, lol?
Man..... is it bad that in my head I was cheering for the Riddler the whole time? He's sorta sweet, in a really messed up way. And he just looked so sad when he got out riddled and realized his plan had been ruined. I want to give him a hug.
algebra uhgg see even robin has to do homework sometimes the thing that gets me though is batman and robin mostly fight crimes in the day wont the teachers wonder where the hell dick grayson is every day he cant have that many doctor opointments lol great vid
Gorshin just goes nuts. He's crazier than the Joker in this one, which is kinda wierd since everywhere else, insanity is the Joker's whole theme and Riddler just has serious OCD.
Such a fun couple of episodes. ♥ I liked the ending of Smack in the Middle better, though; I have a weakness for episodes where they think the bad guy's dead and he isn't. I was kind of disappointed they didn't acknowledge that at all when the Riddler first appeared in A Riddle A Day. (Not that I really thought there'd be such continuity in a comedy. ;)

Has anyone ever considered what a marvel the batcave actually is?
He had to build that all himself, poles and all, as he couldn't exactly hire contractors.
He even built his own nuclear reactor.

@msk7046 Yes, the show could have lasted longer had it maintained the tone of Season 1!
