I guess I've played it quite a bit, it boils down to a little luck and some good equipment that will make all the difference. Once you get the upper tier armor (reduces damage a lot), and max out your health along with a nice weapon, you'll be just fine. Just keep at it and set little goals at a time (like getting another heart, getting certain ore, etc)!
The only way I could see any improvement to this would be doing this on a multiplayer server near a meteor, with none of the other players online or taking part. Or something. Still, I can barely defeat the eye solo, so this is just ridiculous.
@drakesdrum1 It's funny tbh. yesterday I was terrified of the eye boss. Now I just laugh at it. Terraria's item base seems to have a really steep curve for me. If you can't kill it either get some shurikens (about 100 would do) or just ask me for help.
Also a way to make the battle easier is to make an arena out of wood platforms so projectiles can go through and you can jump from platform to platform easy.
SunFury flail is a drop from the burrowing bone monsters that are in the Underworld. Lightsabers are a good midgame weapon, and they make the cool lighsaber sound effects when you swing them.
