My great grandmother was pregnant with my grandfather at the time. My great grandfather perished in this war. As a result, my granfather never knew his father. It's a great source of pride and sadness. My grandfather was Adomako, a prominent goldsmith who made some of the most sought after jewelry for the Asante and Denkyira royals. I miss Ghana.
