  • i like the trees, i think i could do every thing else though

  • How did You achieve such huge enviroment in BGE?

  • Bigger sky box! I'm feeling claustrophobic!

  • Looks nice. Only thing I have to say is that you can really tell that the skybox is just a wall with a texture on it. Doesn't look very real.

  • needs a rotating sun or sun positions such as *after doing this the afternoon heads* and there is a brighter sun

  • That's great! I wanna make something like that but, how? I've been using blender for a while and still I can not make anything. The other day I made a cube, but then I figured it out that that cube was already there. I'm kidding. Anyway Great Job. 1000 and more congrats.

  • Reminds me of Hugo's House of Horrors.

  • Very good !!!!!comrade

    you have a tutorial ??

  • can i have a blend file of this? it looks awesome! XD

  • why can't i dooo that please make a tut on this i am crying to know this...

  • how do i put a skybox in blender? and nice place!

  • nice thing i got blender but i cant handel it that way

    awesome!! keep on working

  • you should try using maya, i would... but it takes up most of the comp, but its used for alot of professional movies/games

  • if you click on the button at the bottom of the 3d view screen to the right of the (object mode) button and change it to textures it shold do it :-)

  • dude seriously i would buy a game like that if u could make something to do!! but that would probly freeze blender on my computer. nice job tho

  • OMFG!!! THIS IS THE KINDA THING I NEEDED!!!! i wana make a game in blender and im learning how and this like landscape and texsturing would make a great area

  • wow very nice

  • that was great!

  • nice!

  • very impressive dude!

but the skybox could be a little bigger

    but i love it !

  • dang thats gotta be high poly

  • that si really good, it must have takenyou ages

  • when you made the leaves for the trees did you use transparent image? or did you model the leaves 1 by 1?

  • No, You model one leaf and keep on duplicating and rotating it.

  • no legendofarthur is right you use transparancy

  • transparency

  • soes any 1 no if i could use this game engine with another 3d program besides blender?

  • You could do the modeling and texturing in another program, but then you have to import it into Blender. The rest of the game you need to do in Blender (Animation, Logic, etc.). It's really just easier to use Blender for the entire thing.

  • Amazing, come on, finish it, i would played it right away.

  • wow thats amazing!i wish i could make games w/ textures like these! though im still learning the BGE basics, but i hope to make stuff like this one day!

  • fantastic texturing and lighting. Especially on that horizon. Industry quality

  • I'm a little confused. If I were to make a game (assuming I knew the code), would I make my own engine? Or use others. I had to make my own, how would I do that? Basically, how do I make a game that I could sell on the market? Do I only need an engine for it? I could use help.

  • wow! this is some outstanding work!!

    5 stars for you dude!

after seeing this i really want to use BGE again, loot of improvement since i left it!

  • How do you render full graphics without being in any other mode, and also when I create a first person game the graphics are horrible in game mode...

    Can anyone help?

  • You need the latest blender 2.48, and to get the fancy graphics you need a new graphics card that supports GLSL.

  • Shadows in BGE?How?Have you used some kind of script or shadows are part of textures?Nice work;]

  • dude where have u been man, there is softbodies and shadows and all kinds of caaraazyy shiiizz in BGE these days lolzzlolzozlzolzozlzozozllzz.zzz.z.zzzzzzzzz xD

  • Ok,I will check this out;p

  • but with a bad graphics card, the shadows can take up a lot of frames and run slowly. He may have also baked in the shadows. That is what I do. It gives the same effect and less processing requirements.

  • way cool

  • looks awesome!! Its bake rendering for the textures? The overall of the scene its high detailed, its a great work.

  • yeap, all the shadows are baked. You just can't get the any detail with realtime shadows on larger maps.

  • Hey, can you explain what is baking shadows and how to do it, it would be great for my games.. and also.. i have a good graphics card.. dunno if it supports GLSL.. but if it did.. then do textures in blender automaticly look awesome, or do you have to do something to them too.

  • cool

  • Good work. Impressive layout. :)

  • nice level design
