I would disagree with you. The youth of today might NEED to understand the idea of punk. Punk in the late 70's was in many ways much more inspired than the rock of the mid to late 60s. It was the first real "FUCK YOU" to the norm, and was never afraid to tell anyone about it.

lots of people speak trash about punk music. in therms of music theory is really simple, but it's not easy to play that fast and keep the sync among the band the ramones did it and they could even dance whlie they were doing it. That's why new punk bands suck they just can´t.
