i'm i the only one who thinks crown uses easy music so they can focus on visuals? also if you say you that they have the loudest brass, you're right but thats only because they on't use a normal amount of guard. extra spots are used in their horn line. if you disagree with me in anyway please reply to this comment and tell me how you feel
@theman121052 If you trying to say that the drumline plays easy music I definitely disagree. That stuff is not easy, these guys have consistently had a book of top 5 or 6 difficulty for a few years now.
@theman121052 absolutely everything you said was wrong. they play a shit hard book every year. theyre brass is loud because they know how to fucking play dude. and theyre guard is amazing to say the least.
Haha their settin off car alarms - the force/sound or somethin does it (for those who arent familiar wit this occurce). My highschool line was doin it last summer. A drum corp battery like crowns would set of every alarm if there were more cars around. Thats funny.

yeah.. maybe its a crazy drumming but I found it boring... its too formal in nature.... maybe its much better to watch black people who are doing ass shaking choreo....and head banging beats...

I love Showstyle bands but their drumlines never impress me because there is too much dirt(flamming, not hearing one drum with 10 people in a drum line)between the whole drumline...If you want to see flashy but challenging sounding stuff check out the Cavaliers Dumline in 2001, 2002 or 2006
Plus this video was one of Carolina Crown's warm ups...don't judge a Drum Corps line or Drum line off their warm ups...if you wanna hear a cool warm up listen to Santa Clara Vanguard's Double Beat Warm up
We know. It would be farther over to the right if that was in response to what I had said.
The whole white noise thing is actually quoting my HS's percussion instructor from a competition this past season when one of out Tenors asked how the drumline in the band before us sounded.
i like to think that crown is like the "farm team " for the cadets, they use the same technique pretty much, same drums, and same tuning (on good days)
youre an idiot, the only top 3 corp that doesnt use yamaha is BD, and they didnt deserve a win this year, the were good back in the 90's when they used yamaha
crown finally on yammies...from ludwig to pearl to yammies! best line crown has ever produced, although alot of fuzz, as an ensemble, extremely cohesive...looks like this high potential corps is finally serious about winning championships
Happens with my HS's drumline all the time when we march to the stadium. But in other DCI vids if you listen sometimes you can faintly hear them. Somehow Crown tends to get stuck warming up in the lot rather than grass or somewhere else where it's easier for them to get focused and in their zone. But they sure as hell manage to anyways.
The snare tuning is just fine. Overcranked and dry snares sound terrible. At least these have some body that will project on the field. I can guarantee they won't sound that muddy on the field. It's the Lee Beddis tuning. Super tight bottom, zero tape, and medium-tight tops.
Heaven forbid you hear some actual snare sound instead of sounding like a formica table top.
nah, i gotta agree- snares sound muddy tuning. nice playing though! ballz on that roll! I like this clip better than the weak bass line clip I just saw of them.
i love the carolina crown they are my favorite corps

they freakin suck compared to my drumline, CYPRESS BAY HIGH SCHOOL DRUMLINE, we can play double beat cleaner than SCV themselves.
Slipknot1360 4 years ago
I just watched your drumlines attempt at Double Beat and it's a shame that such a good exercise fell into the wrong hands.
You sound like white noise.
